Wish we had drafted Henne for our back up. I think he was available too...
Henne was drafted in the second round a year ago, before the Pats had their second pick.

Pats should have traded up to take a backup QB in the second round, making that two backup QB's drafted within the first three rounds in back-to-back years at that point? And that's not even considering Cassel and Gutierez were on the roster then too.

Edit: my mistake, that was the same year they drafted O'Connell one round later. Regardless, drafting backup quarterbacks in the second (or third) round doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Question Belichick's word? Blasphemy....

We're just mere mortals, how can we question Bill's word?

All Bill said was, with the personnel and the lack of communication we had at the stadium, screens were just impossible for us. He did not say screens are not possible. If you have the right players, you can do screens all day.

Its confirmed Braylon Edwards brings a curse with him wherever he goes.

Just look at Cleveland yesterday, Derek Anderson throws 2 of 17 for 23 yards an they win.

Mark Sanchez throws 12/24 for 172 and a touchdown and the Jets lose

Braylon Edwards = A-Rod ... great ... I like it.

Wow, what an exciting game to watch!

Guess we all know how best to counter the Jets D. But how many teams can pull out that gameplan that the Dolphins just did. Talk about creative playcalling. And it looks like Henne might have the goods.

This division is gonna be a dogfight to the end.

Bill was blowing smoke up our backsides. You can screen the Jets to death.

Line of the night on the JI board.

"Rex looked like a Jets coach today. " ... gotta love it.

On that Wild cat thingy, I hear the even the Dolphins Defense gets confused with it at practice. How the hell are you defend it if they don't shoot themselves in the foot?

I agree with you 100%. I didnt buy BB's take on why the Pats werent calling screens against the Jets. As great as a coach Bill is, he does tend to out think himself sometimes which leads to the suffering of the team.

If Bill would say he can give you half-off for the Brooklyn Bridge, would you buy it?

Yeah, even if neither team was a division rival that was still a great game to watch as an NFL fan.

Ah I see. I was wrong then. Regardless, he did us a favor tonight. Great game

I have to say that game really lifted the gutted feeling I've had since yesterday.

One thing that does worry me though is that the Dolphins are a serious offensive outfit now with Henne looking so composed. It will be very hard to defend against them.

I just hope Tom Brady can throw those long passes when we face them, their secondary is just horrific and can be easily exposed by the Patriots if Brady is right.

If the Phins keep playing that stiff Wilson in their secondary, they'll regret it as the season goes forward.

Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, and Chad Henne - looks like 3 good QB's from the 2008 draft.

When Brady is right he can make any secondary look bad. Some of these long throws in this game made me really miss the Brady to Moss connection. They use to make it look easy now it looks like Brady is in pain.

But I thought the Jets already won the Super Bowl in week 2..... what gives?????? :singing::singing::singing::singing::singing::singing::singing:

Steve Young loves him some fresh meat at QB. He's coming unhinged, and it's a little weird.

This is my favorite exchange on that thread. Such a classy, loving bunch.....

i think it's apparent that there are alot of quality teams in the afc this season...more so than most years

miami is a quality team

close loss at sd, last second loss vs indy (the current best team in the afc)
a blowout over a garbage bills team, and a last second win over a quality jets team

their only bad loss appears to have been at atl, who is also a quality nfc team

your guys afc east looks as harsh as last year
