Globe: What the Dolphins win means

Yes he did, but they were HIGH PERCENTAGE passes, meaning they traveled between 5-10 yards. If there was a 30 yard gain after a Brown pass, it was because of YAC. The only big passing play that I can ever remember coming out of the Wildcat was when Pennington got the ball back on a double handoff and launched it downfield to (I believe) Cobbs for like a 45 yard touchdown. However, I will be the first to admit that I don't watch a terribly high amount of Dolphins games and I know that we currently have one active on the forum right now. Perhaps he would like to weigh in?

I think he's referring to the masacre in Foxboro last year when Ronnie threw a 25 yard touchdown to Fasano. He caught that one in the end zone.

And you're right about Cobbs. He caught what was abotu a 50 yarder from Pennington last year and then we ran a double pass where Pennington launched it down field against the Jets in week 17 last year. Ricky dropped what would've been a 50 yard TD.

We also had Ronnie throw in that game. Joey Haynos was WIDE open down the seam and Ronnie missed him.

"Ronnie Brown?....oh...we won't be seeing him anymore..."

And so is Pat White.

I personally hope we just scrap the Wildact altogether. I was never a big fan of it and now with Ronnie out, there's just no need. The only time we should do it is inside the 5 yard line and just snap it to Ricky and have him pick his way through. That will work, anywhere else will not.

I hated the White pick in April and I hate it now. I personally cringe a little when he comes on.

I would too. You know he's probably not going to throw it. If he did, it would be a huge mistake (considering I saw the guy throw maybe six passes a game at West Virginia). He's not the type of college QB who has wheels but is also a polished passer by any means. The guy just wasn't a good pick at that point in the draft, especially considering the wide receiver talent that was still there for the taking. I, personally, thought the Dolphins were going to wait for Tebow to come out this year in order to pick up their Wildcat QB.

He has made a few nice plays for us and is usually the fastest guy on the field (you saw the big run he had against you guys, he outran all of his blockers.)

He did throw it one time in the opener and he had Ted Ginn WIDE OPEN on a 9 route and over threw him by about 20 yards lol.

I ******* hated the pick, man. I wanted Clint Sintim right there or Sean Smith (who we ended up getting later any way. )

It's a contradicting pick, IMO. It says we want to win now, but then the front office ignores positions like wide receiver and inside linebacker completely. The ILBs were thin this off-season, but there were PLENTY of big time wideouts that could've been had and now we've lost three games solely because of poor pass catching.

And you would think after that embarrassment against Baltimore in the playoffs last year would have changed their mantra. ****, Pennington had ZERO open receivers that entire game. Ginn is terrible at uncovereing, and Bess and Cammy aren't the best at it either.

Watch the Dolphins and you'll notice that most of our completions are created by clever combination routes that simply fool the defensive backfiled. Very rarely do we have a guy going one on one and beating his man.

We have the worst group of WRs in the NFL.

How do you feel about Crowder? Personally, if I were a Dolphin fan I would hate him. He makes a pretty good amount of cash and only shows up once every other game (if even that). I remember in the Atlanta game when Gonzalez caught a touchdown, he was beaten in coverage but, instead of running hard to try to catch up, was simply jogging behind him. Completely carefree. My mouth dropped open and I turned to my Dolphin fan friends who I was watching the game with at the time and they just shook their heads. On top of that, he's gotten laid out by the likes of Leon Washington and Steve Smith this season.

Okay, that last line was more of a joke than anything considering he wasn't looking. But anyway, just curious. What do you think about him? Overpaid stiff that needs to play harder or a decent ILB?

All I will say about Crowder is that I was wrong. I thought he was an emerging player ready to take the next step. He has regressed seriously and is now a liability rather than an asset.

He took a pay cut to be here (as in he got better offers elsewhere) but I wish he would've taken the money.

We badly, badly need some ILB help. Ted Ginn over Pat Willis is a killer.

Pat White is no Ronnie Brown........

no way...

Ronnie is gone and their attack will be less effective

I guess I was wrong about that. I was under the impression that he had called the Dolphins' original offer a, "special teams contract" or something like that and they upped the ante for him.

Needless to say, I'm very glad the Dolphins took Ted Ginn over Patrick Willis.

I am no so sure Miami going on the road into Buffalo in December (ok it is actually November 29 but close enough) is as much of a sure thing as the columnist seems to think.
We aren't the panzy ass finesse team that Dave Wannstedt used to field. Playing in cold weather isn't really a disadvantage any more. We went into Kansas City against a bad football team last year and laid it on them in negative temperatures. It won't be that cold in Buffalo and that Bills team is just as bad as that Chiefs team was last year.

We beat Buffalo 38-10 the first time around. We'll romp them again.
Hey Wide_Receiver, I hate to say I told you so, but..... aw who am I kidding? I love to say I told you so!!!

Where did you go buddy? Where you at?

Let's see...
wrong on Crowder
wrong on Culpepper vs Brady, like REALLY wrong
wrong on Satele
wrong on Welker (how could I forget??)
wrong on The Ginn Family a Top 10 pick for a KR
wrong on Beck 'the future'
and wrong on Henne vs a kid from Harvard quarterbacking the Bills
So much for 'we'll romp them' (the Bills)

If I were you I'd really find another sport to follow. You demonstrably know absolutely nothing about NFL football.

Joey Porter looks like he's going to cry.

lmao, and another pick by Henne. **** you Dolphins!

Henne picked AGAIN!!! Third pick!
Remember this is the hapless Bills they're playing.

Henne is EXPOSED without Brown, an excellent player, in the backfield to run the gimmick offense. Look for the Phins to sign a FA QB or use their early 1st round pick on Sanchez II.

Yeah, the Dolphins are now 5-6.

Wasn't there a Dolphins fan in here this week talking about how they could win the division?
