"Well we had a lead in the 2nd half. You added a late score to run it up late that made it look a lot more lop-sided than it really was"

yeah, we didn't need that FG. how classless of the team :snob:

I really hate the WILDCAT....... gonna be nervous during this 1. Ronnie is out.... so I feel a little bit more comfortable. Not that I feel comfortable when playing against the BS Wildcat anywyas.

Why is it BS?

You definitely needed to for it on 4th and 2 when you were up by two scores and less than a minute left.

Dolphins don't have it ... especially with just Ricky Williams. I am a big Williams fan but at his age I don't think he can carry a team anymore and they have no pressure recievers. A decent defense and O-Line is about all they have. We will beat them in Miami ...

Ricky Williams did a fine job of carrying the team the other night. Put the Jack down, Icy.

Ricky thou...... even despit performing great is not the PASS threat Ronnie Brown was for Miami.......

Ronnie Brown= more valuable in Wildcat. He brings greater dynamics to the O

Ronnie Brown didn't do anything special. For one, Miami doesn't pass a whole lot out of the Wildcat. When they do, it''s usually a high percentage pass play in which the ball travels five yards or less. Classic case is the goal line play against the Pats. That's really something that the majority of running backs could probably do. The only difference is that they haven't entrusted Ricky to do it yet.

but when Ronnie did Pass Kon..... it was for a 30 plus yard gain.....

it is nice not having that option available

it did not happen often.....

maybe once or twice a game....... this aspect with Ronnie is gone now

When did this happen?

I am not digging up old Miami threads.... but take a look my man.....

Ronnie did in fact pass and was a threat.

Ronnie did in fact pass and was a threat.

Yes he did, but they were HIGH PERCENTAGE passes, meaning they traveled between 5-10 yards. If there was a 30 yard gain after a Brown pass, it was because of YAC. The only big passing play that I can ever remember coming out of the Wildcat was when Pennington got the ball back on a double handoff and launched it downfield to (I believe) Cobbs for like a 45 yard touchdown. However, I will be the first to admit that I don't watch a terribly high amount of Dolphins games and I know that we currently have one active on the forum right now. Perhaps he would like to weigh in?

I just like having Ronnie Brown out of the equation...... it limits trickery

He was 2/6 passing in 2009. He threw 3 times in 2008. Big threat.

granted base ball is not foot balll .300 is a nice average

it is still a "possibility" to be aware of.....

It's also a "possibility" that Vince Wilfork will come in as an eligible receiver and catch a 70 yard bomb as well. Though, I will admit that Brown throwing for a huge gain is a lot more possible.

nice sarcasm....

but Ronnie is and was a passing/running threat

We've been running the Wildcat for 24 games. I think Ronnie has thrown it 5 or 6 times. So more like .3 times per game, not once or twice per.
