I love Tom. That said, how many people are aware that the heel of his show is the real reason for this picture? This is the new celebrity endorsement way, a very subtle form of advertising products while in every day settings. Not that there's anything wrong with it. Sure beats FiveHead singing about chicken parm and his emotional postgame speech about Budweiser.

Some thoughts:

• The Brady/Bundchen team includes some serious social media talent.
• Both Brady and Bundchen are extremely famous celebrities, who make a lot of money off their celebrity, and whose celebrity is tied to their (aging) bodies.
• Indeed, her entire career is image, while part of his is, and she is said to make a bit more money than he does. I.e., over half the family business is purely about image.

I'd add:

• They've chosen to position themselves in some ways as just-plain-normal folks, even though in reality they're anything but.
• HOWEVER, I am persuaded by the claims that they have normal family feelings, etc. Why wouldn't they? They're human.
• Further, I'm not aware of ANY story in which his or her apparent niceness turned out to be fake. There are plenty of stories of him not even appearing to be nice (i.e. when he's hyper-competitive). I'm sure there are similar ones of her, and not just the one fan-screaming incident about WR drops. But despite the incredible efforts devoted to crafting their images, I think there's a lot of genuineness at the core.

And finally -- the official story is that he's hot, she's hot, they were set up on a blind date by a friend (McDonough, I believe) who thought they had a LOT in common, and it all clicked. That story makes a lot of sense to me. And that some people in the world are yet hotter than they are is in no way a contradiction.

She earned last year $30.5 million last year... difficult to comprehend.

Gisele is, by most accounts, the "real deal." I took her Super Bowl quote as genuine support for her husband in the heat of the moment. Her Olympic Games "catwalk" was spectacular at every level; a terrific moment.

Her interviews seem genuine and respectful. Her business acumen is top notch.

Seems to me, she and Tom make a happy couple. Nothing wrong with that!

Yep. The story was that each was told the other was the male/female version of her/him. Years after reading that, I read the profile of their personal assistant, which IRC said that is was the previous guy McDonough who set up the date.

Separately, she used a great line before she met him. Some gossip reporter in Boston asked her if she might have interest in Brady. She said that she understood he was involved -- w/ Bridget Moynahan -- and said that any guy who is involved is "gay to me".
