We have some depth at CB but precious nothing in terms of athleticism and talent in the box at the hybrid LB/S spot.

I would not find one bit strange that the reigning DPOY is thinking "**** man, i wanna win now".

This is truly a very weird year.

Yep. BB f***ed himself setting that precedent with the Sanu trade. You can't take anything less than a first.

But really, why even trade him? What will BB do with the pick? Draft another DB? The last good DB he's drafted was McCourty (after he moved to S). Unless Gilmore really wants out, there's no need to trade him.

I think he knew he had TB for 2-3 years and went all in and it worked out, now he's rebuilding, at least that's what I've been telling myself.

I wonder if NE would make a deal like that, Gilmore for Thomas straight up. The Saints might with their secondary and must win season, but somehow I don't think NE would take on Thomas and his contract.
