I agree, this is beyond a golden opportunity. They cannot, in no way shape or form win the game next week. Sit anyone who is valuable for next year. Maye, Mapu, Gibson, Gonzo, etc etc. No reason any of them need to see the field.

I would gameplay a "this is how we keep the 1st pick" gameplay. I'd even call it that. Going from 1 to 4 would be a disaster, one that only Mayo could screw up. I mean, ****, even Bill couldn't win last year vs the Jets in the last week. Shouldn't be a problem this week.

Think of how coveted the Pats GM and head coaching jobs would be with a potential franchise QB in place on a rookie contract, the first pick in the draft and the most cap space in the league.

That's the best job available.

This wasn't a tanking year. You wanted to see wins from Maye and the team, but it came to fruition sooner than I thought. I was on the tank wagon all year last year and was hoping for much, much better this year up until the very end. Now it's full tank time for one game. I can tolerate that better this year.

In fairness, I don’t think that haul is available this year. Just not a QB prospect hot enough to generate it.

Now I COULD see a 1 this year, 1 next year, and maybe a 3rd this year. Which the team certainly could use.

It only takes 1 or 2 teams to fall in love with a QB. There are many qb needy teams. Someone will want sanders and convince themselves he is a champion because of his father
