Game Day Thread: Titans/Chiefs and Falcons/Rams

The biggest mismatch of the weekend isn't between players it's between Wade Phillips & Shark.

Atl will not die though? Even though they've had every. single. reason. 10 X's over.

This imo is the game of the weekend.

Yeah the game time temperature is going to be in the high 50's and sunny.

Y'all end up under water too often to be talking that noise slick

I think the Bills may surprise you. I get the feeling that the Jags are paper tigers.
The Bills may honestly get shut out unless they score a defensive touchdown. McCoy is going to either be relegated to a decoy at the least or will only be half as effective at the most. I honestly don't see who Taylor is going to throw to in this game once McCoy is taken away.

The Titans are as close as you can get to a fraudulent playoff team - not sure what has happened with Mariota this year (he was allegedly due a big jump in performance) but he has been straight awful for months.

No unit on the Titans would I grade as 'excellent' - I expect the Chiefs (home hoodoo or not) to have too much firepower for them.

Alex Smith is very limited in super cold conditions with his Pennington-esque arm - and is so risk averse it leads to an offence that can't move unless the run game does it - would happily see him back in Foxboro for the divisional.

Chiefs to win, but won't cover the 9.0 spread.

I keep expecting the Rams bubble to burst - they have come from nowhere and look pretty awesome on offence this year -they also have difference makers on D that can wreck a game if their offence gets ahead.

Falcons go as Matty Iced goes - and without his old OC he looks to be shadow of his 2016 incarnation.

I'd take the Rams to cover the 5.5 spread.
Titans gonna take one up the tail pipe today, unfortunately

Wow, BGC. Bold pick right here. Jeez.

I’m so in on KC that I’m considering throwing some loot in my sports book account for the first time in many months. Thinking about getting the line down a bit, though. Either buying points or teasing. Not crazy about the -8.5. Much more comfortable at something around -7. That said, I could envision this game being over after 2, 2.5 quarters. I think the Titans suck.

Tennessee could completely implode but thats not the feeling I get there. Much more talented then they played this year.

Recently M.M. started calling plays and for flashes the O look like it could be on the right track.

Smith struggles vs Tennessee big time. 2 of his worst losses were against them and hes 0-1 @ KC so I don' see a huge advantage there despite their hfa.

Tennessee should be able to stop KCS run game and conversely run on them at will given the climate in Tenn locker room.

I do pretty well in college bball/NBA/NFL so I don't mind a lil sprinkle to make it that much more fun

People forget how good Jacksonvilles D is. Their unbelieveabla against the pass.

Biggest mismatch by far imo.

I'm thinking the Titans might pull off the upset as well.
I'd like to see it, I dont really want to face KC again. I think Jax is going to beat Buffalo pretty easily if Shady doesnt play.

Fournette is going to run all over them, the only real chance they have is if Blake Bortles wins it for them.

If they can make it an ugly game by controlling the clock, they have a great chance. Tennessee is a big and physical team and they run a lot of 2 TE sets, while KC's run defense is questionable. The Titans should be able to run on them. Keep it close late in the game and let Andy Reid piss his pants in another playoff game again.

I would love the titans to knock the Chiefs out.
I would too, but tough to make a case for a team that is 3-5 on the road, 2-3 in their last 5 games to end the season and who have a negative point differential to go into KC and pull out a win.

Looking at -8.5 and -7 myself but honestly dont think there is any value to go for -7 relative to -8.5. Dont think it those 1.5 points will really be the difference here.

Rams v Atlanta I just cant decide what to do. Having Atlanta ML at 3.1 is just soo tasty.. I know Sarkisian is there but all that needs to happen is Atlanta playing up to their potential.. also the Rams seem overhyped to me..

Been locked in on Tennessee -9 for days. ML and spread. Waiting for the Atlanta line to go up. I like the dogs today and the favorites tommorow

This first round matchups are ehh IMO

Fingers crossed. Really dont see the Titans doing much of anything at Arrowhead.. but good luck.
Titans have won the last two against KC (2014, 2016), both at Arrowhead.

Also, the Chiefs haven't won a home playoff game since the 1993 season (Jan 94, a wildcard game in OT against the Steelers). Joe Montana was the QB.

It's far from impossible.
