Funny comment sequence at Football Outsiders

Whatever else you say about him, Aragorn is one heck of a signal-caller. In particular, he executed a literally legendary play-fake outside the Gates of Mordor, while his play on the Plains of Gondor exhibited perfect timing.

Peter Jackson seemed to start out strong as a head coach, but has really come down to Middle Earth with some very questionable calls. I'm not sure which call was worse, Aragorn going for it at the gates of Mordor or playing elves at Helms Deep.

I sent my 13-year-old daughter a link to this thread. She took exception with some of the comments:

"People were clearly basing the harsh criticism of Legolas just off of his movie performance -- he didn't play as well under Jackson.

I also think they should take into account the ability to play in harsh weather he showcased on Caradhras."

Don't gloat. Mordor once again shows brilliance in grabbing UDFA. Once Shelob returns from shrugging off that torn exuviae, she's going to be a beast.

Still amazes me how when the going gets tough, the Eagles just disappear...

"Exuviae" on a football forum. Now I can die in peace

Thats good stuff....the paragraph by" Cythhammer" is the best....about the league changing in the second age..
