This ^ is what it comes down to and if he'll be starting week one.

He's already a better passer than Brissett, he always was... he has to run the offense efficiently and cleanly.

It looked a lot better last night than the start of camp, he's making massive strides. At the age of 21 it's really impressive.

Lowe is being given every opportunity to fail. So far his best asset is that there doesn't seem to be a better option. I'm thinking we'll be busy with OL come cut down day. The fact that Boutte played a lot may not be a good thing. Says to me that right now, he may be close to odd man out.

Not sure how active we'll be on cutdown day at OL. Probably at C, but not OT. It makes sense in theory to go after that spot because it's such a hole, but our problem at OT isn't a shortage of end-of-the-roster guys. Our problem is lacking starting caliber talent. It's unlikely other teams are releasing players better than Lowe/Okorafor/Anderson/etc. As much as we gripe about them as starters, they're all NFL level backups. Every team is going to keep 3 OTs and they all can likely accommodate a 4th if the player is really worth it. So it's unlikely any other team's 4th or 5th OT is going to be a legit starter. It'd likely just be another player on par with what we have, except now needing to be brought up to speed on the playbook and building chemistry.

I think if we add an OT, it's more likely to be practice squad where we'll be seen as a desirable place because those guys are looking for a path to getting a shot at the NFL level.

'Last year we saw what happens when you pick up the dregs at cut down time. I am hoping that Wolf can use the extra third round pick to secure a better OT from a team that has depth. That may be a reasonable plan for other positions, not sure it is realistic at OT.

Prime Gil & Gino were the Best. The other two…?
I seem to remember Curt Gowdy and Jon Morris. Gil and Gino were the standard. I like Bob Socci. Scott Zolak is too excitable for me. Please spare me from Kraft Sports preseason telecasts. During a preseason game, I want to know who is in the game, who made or didn't make a play. I don't need personal anecdotes and banter. Surprising that I enjoyed Brian Hoyer's input. Paul wisely didn't say much. Maybe pair Hoyer with Socci and we would have something.
