Freeze investigated for NCAA violations, Miss. stands by their coach; he calls an escort he is gone

I heard jerry jones does this for the cowboys, or at least one of his assistants.

This clown show reminds me of the Anthony Michael Hall movie Johnny Be Good and the recruiting exploits at Ol' Tex....home of the horny toads :)
Now I experienced a similar situation when I was a very lightly recruted player back in 1965. On a weekend trip to UMASS, after meeting staff and being shown around, our assigned current player liaison took us to a frat party where we immediately were introduced to girls who were clearly meant to be our "dates" for the night. Naturally a good time was had by all. Of course back in 1965 a good time for me was dancing, laughing, making out and copping a feel. ;)

I mean ole miss wasnt really good. Then all of a sudden, they are signing top players. I knew Freeze was on borrowed time as soon as they started getting big time players

You can look at Baylor football as another example of that. Maybe they weren't committing NCAA violations, but the cesspool that program became made it clear that the school was okay accepting talent over character and then looking the other way when things went wrong.

It makes you wonder if, say, Indiana or Kansas football could ever become consistent programs (occasionally win the conference, usually in the conversation to win it for most of the season, regularly finish in the top half of the conference) without breaking NCAA rules or taking "at risk" recruits to do it? Does building a program within the rules take too long for most coaches to stay the duration?

Yes, but was there a jersey traded for a tattoo *cover up* scandal? These are the important questions people want to know.

So, basically, Freeze is out because he didn't learn from the movie Tequila Sunrise.

Did Freeze compromise the "integrity of Mississippi and the SEC??"

Maybe they were christian hookers and prayed before the dirty deed...

College recruiting is completely corrupt. When your business model is to "pay" your top players a scholarship instead of the $250,000 or whatever a top recruits true worth would be you are setting yourself up for such chicanery. The real rub is that it seems like certain schools skate on indiscretions (NC hoops with bogus classes for years) while others get hammered. As long as they continue to only pay those at the top of the food chain this sort of stuff will continue.

Well, Brett Farve did go there.

Eli too, but he was still a virgin when he graduated.

Well, that proves the women of Ole Miss have some standards.

So erm. What is the phone number?
