The Ravens will get Dumervil because even in their tight cap position they will extend themselves a little to get a good player unlike the Patriots who will end up resigning Trevor Scott after Abraham signs with the Broncos.

The fax fiasco was the worse thing to happen to the penny pinching Pats and their attempt to get a pass-rushing DE.

Are we talking about Amendola? I'm pretty sure I said if you don't pay market value you don't get anyone besides old guys like Abraham and Freeney.

I'm guessing they paid Amendola his market value given they paid him more than Wes Welker got per year and for longer years. You know the guy that is #1 at the position Amendola plays.

But you said they don't pay anyone their market value, so this post should be you admitting you are wrong, correct?

I don't know. Unlike Brady, I think Manning wants to call the shots where ever he is. Word is that Elway went to Manning to get his blessing before he offered a contract to Welker. Don't underestimate Manning's weight in the Broncos organization.

Word is that Abraham wants to play here over Denver from what I have read. New England is his first choice. The Broncos are up against the cap and will have a harder time trying to offer contracts to older players with shorter term contracts. I don't think the Broncos are going to out bid the Pats for Abraham.

I saw that his first choice was here over anywhere from that mike guy on twitter that i argued with the other day..the guy who said they signed him a long time ago. Has any "reliable" source said this? I would think that if his first choice was NE. He would be working with them to get a deal done or already be signed IMO. But the offer from the pats he didn't like. That right there tells me he will go where the $$ is

Abraham wants to be in NE if all things are equal or close with Denver. If Denver offers significantly more money, that would change. There is a difference than Abraham wants to be here no matter the deal. Right now Dumervil could reset the DE market.

If Abraham signs anywhere before Dumervil, he could cheat himself out of millions. I think if Dumervil wasn't released on Friday, Abraham and possibly Freeney would have signed last week.

I said want, not that they don't. Sometimes they do. Unfortunately for the team Amendola seems to be the guy they gave market or above market value to. You already know my views on this no need to go on a treasure hunt overanalyzing my posts to beef up your self-esteem that you "got me" contradicting myself. Nothing is absolute obviously I do not believe the Patriots have never paid market value for a player
