The New England Patriots once valued at second in the league have dropped to thirty-second a low not seen since the 1992 2-14 season. Financial analyst explain that the Patriots have open season tickets for the first time since the hiring of Bill Parcells back in 1993. Corporate sponsors sensing the lack in regional support have also begun to pull out. An anonymous source was quoted as saying "Really it's Robert Kraft's fault. If he had stood up to the league in 2007 they wouldn't have been as eager to restore the competitive balance by over penalizing the Patriots to keep it fair in this everybody gets a trophy world we currently live in."
The Krafts are currently taking the triple hit with Patriot's Place revenues way down and merchants being force to default on their leases and pull out. The third part being that the pro shop hasn't made a sale in weeks.
On the national front the NFL is probably regretting their decision with over a million subscriptions dropped in the New England area combined between NFL Sunday Ticket and the NFL Network. This has put a strain on the current TV deals with the Networks wanting credits for ever decreasing ratings out of the northeast. Advertisers and NFL partners are also being forced to reassess their once strong relationship with the league. CNN Money recently printed an article showing statistical evidence that this type of financial downfall is what you can expect when you put a few stupid Jet's fans in charge of a corporation.
The NFL also received bad news that their 150 million dollar defamation law suit request for appeal was denied. 6th circuit justice Ben Jarvis Green Ellis stated "There was clear evidence of malice. There's no need to waste more tax payer money on a league as corrupt as the NFL."
Somewhere Mark Nostradamus Cuban is smiling.
