First week means nothing...but the "Super Bowl favorites" are/did have a bad week

i think people forget the colts had the 32nd ranked run D in 2006 when they won the sb

they also gave up a combined 400 yards rushing to the jags one game

one week doesn't make a season, if they can find another booger macfarland at the trade deadline, who knows what will happen

haynesworth is disgruntled, washington certainly isn't happy with him, seems like the perfect fit in indy

In 2006, the Colts had a lot of things that they don't appear to have as of now. For starters, that o-line is going to get Manning killed by week 10. Like you said, though, it's just week 1 and they have plenty of time to shore stuff up.

It's so nice that the Colts lost the first week of the season, thus removing the "will they go unbeaten?" drum beat nice and early.

If the Cowboys are the best that the NFC has to offer, looks like the NFC win in the Superbowl is going to look like a fluke.

Some teams looked decent (NO, NYG, Pitt, Tenn, Sea) but certainly no one you can say looked like a powerhouse. Except the Pats of course.

Still lots of shaking out to be done. Of the non-Pats games next week, going off of week 1, the most intriguing matches look like Piit@Tenn and the Sunday night game of NYG@Indy. Moderately interesting-looking games look to be Bal@Cin, Hou@Washington and Jax@Chargers.

I actually picked the Texans to win; which made the win even better
