First Meaningless 2025 Mock

That's a great mock although I don't think there's any way Hampton makes it to 38 (and Higgins at 41 might end up being a stretch). Do you envision Lampkin playing at OG? Because I think he's too short to play guard at under 5'11". I think at best he's a center which means you've drafted two centers. Just a thought.

Don't get me wrong, on tape Lampkin is one of my favourite prospects to watch but he's just such an outlier size wise that he's really hard to project to the NFL as an OL. Perfect FB though.

My thought process on Lampkin is 6th round flier and bring him to camp and see. But ya probably if he makes it in the nfl will be as a C or FB. Which we know Josh does like to use a FB and then you also potentially/eventually have a backup C

Campbell at #4????

I don’t know who you are anymore man! We’re in bizzaro world now with you picking Campbell and @captain stone picking kickers!
I'm not a fan of it but they've forced our hand by not addressing it in FA.

Similar but different non-reality than @bakes781 just now. 2 trade downs (4 and 69 - speaking of Gronk). at 217 Lampkins was gone at 216 so it was either Blue or Peebles. Never taken Jeanty before.

It's a great mock. My only thought, and it's not a criticism, is that I wonder if Omarion Hampton might have been the pick at 12. Ashton Jeanty is the best RB in the class, I'm not questioning that, but I feel like Hampton could be Vrabel's Derrick Henry. That's the only reason I might have considered Hampton there.

Imagine adding Noel, Wiliams and Blue's speed to this offense. Wowzer!

I am a draft neophyte, but here is my effort Tyler Warren might be Maye's "Gronk" and heavy on the "trenches"

Warren is one of the best non WR/LT options in the first, love the Noel pick along with the two DTs. Good job.

Matt Miller has a 7 Round Mock on ESPN. Here are his Pats picks.

1. Travis Hunter CB/WR

No brainer IMO. I like him more at WR. His next form tackle will be his first. Just leads with shoulder and doesn’t wrap. Tackling is important.

2. Josh Conerly LT Oregon

Fills a need. I’ll pass here. Because Tylenol Williams - DT Ohio St is a better player

3. Elic Ayomanor - WR - Stanford

Not crazy about this pick. We signed Diggs and drafted Hunter. Aireontae Ersery is still available. I’ll take him here. I like him more than Conerly.

3. Prince Umanmielen Edge - Ole Miss

I like him here.

4. Lathan Ransom - S - Ohio St

Manxman will sprint to the podium and take Wyatt Milium - G - West Virginia. I’ll videoyhim sprinting and sing Country Roads

5 Malachi Moore - S - Bama

Fine with this pick.

7 Jay Higgins - LB Iowa
7 Jordan Hancock - CB Ohio St
7 Seth McLaughlin - C - Ohio State

I thought Miami overpaid for the trade up, so I took it, Warren was BPA in R1. The sim had Higgins and Trapilo ranked too low IMO, so I took them early according to the simulator. I missed out on Ratledge, but Mukuba was there so I took him. Williams is a project and the Pats have a horrible history there, but at #106 why the hell not? Probably a foul up on Lachey, now I have 4 TEs. Should have gone edge there, but I messed up. Neal too low as well, and Sorrell because I have not dealt with edge at all. Still got Miami's 2nd and 4th next year, too.

I normally wouldn't have been crazy about the Ayomanor pick but started reading about what an animal he is as a blocker, I've warmed to him. We need an X-receiver long-term and I think he's the 3rd best big X in this draft behind Tet and Higgins. He's not a bad receiver either aside from some minor drop issues. When I watch his tape, I find little to fault but then never see anything to overly excite me either. I saw him comped as a better Mack Hollins which seems appropriate. If nothing else, a long-term placeholder until we get a legitimate WR-1 X receiver.

It's a good draft although I'm not a big fan of Ersery. I get the positional value though. I think Charles Grant will be the better LT out of this two in the long run.

Ersery, Trapilo and Grant. Someone is going to have to play guard.

Blocking WR fits into JMcDs scheme.

As time passes I am warming up to trading back a bit and drafting Tyler Warren, not exactly a Gronk prototype, but the kind of guy who plays hard with a lot of talent..
Consider these Maye and him together for a while remind me of many dynamic QB/TE duos...
