First Meaningless 2025 Mock

So with Bentley being released, how do people see the LB position being addressed, if at all?

Late in the draft. Even if you disregard Tavai and Mapu we still have four on the roster (Monty Rice played under Vrabel before). I doubt they go for a LB until late day three.

Depending on how many other extra picks we've acquired by trading down, I wouldn't mind seeing if Danny Stutsman is still available late on Day 2 or early on Day 3...

Did this one last night with PFN's 3//26 update and before learning of Bentley's release... OLinemen & Weppunz; Weppunz & OLinemen...

22. Josh Simmons OT Ohio State
36. Kenneth Grant DT Michigan
45. Donovan Ezeiruaku EDGE Boston College - surprised he was still there
50. Jayden Higgins WR Iowa State
58. Omarion Hampton RB North Carolina - same here; Henderson was taken at 39
69. Jaylin Noel WR Iowa State - either he or Bech
89. Denzel Burke CB Ohio State
90. Cameron Skattebo RB Arizona State - we still need a 3rd-Down Back, which Hampton is not
96. Anthony Belton OT NC State
101. Billy Bowman S Oklahoma
114. Danny Stutsman LB Oklahoma
127. Kyle Williams WR Washington State
140. Charles Grant OT William & Mary - Left GUARD of the Future?
158. Jack Sawyer EDGE Ohio State
181. Mitchell Evans TE Notre Dame
189. Zah Frazier CB UTSA
195. Willie Lampkin OG North Carolina - can he long-snap too?
216. Ty Robinson DT Nebraska
255. Cody Simon LB Ohio State - was gonna draft the kicker but saw him at the top of the list so what the heck... Go Buckeyes!

2026 DAL 2nd
2026 NYJ 3rd
2026 DEN 4th
2026 JAX 5th
2026 TEN 5th
2026 CAR 6th
2026 PHI 7th

Almost any team in the top 10 I feel that would still be garbage next year, that wants to trade up for our first this year, but only give 2nd round picks as comp. I’m making them swap out 1st round picks in 2026.

I guess it’s a little gamble on yourself. But I don’t see us being bottom 5 next year. Could be a cool way to get a top 5 pick next year.

Something like this. I traded back with the raiders. They offered 6 & 42. I countered with 6, 42, and a swap of 2026 firsts.

Would you gamble on the raiders being worse than the Pats in 2025? If they have a better record, you look like a fool. If we go on a run and make the playoffs and the raiders tank. You look like a genius. An Einstein if they ended up with number one.

Loved the way the mock turned out. 2 trade backs in the first.

PFN did a Friday update, including some noticeable changes at WR:

23. Josh Simmons OT Ohio State
37. Kenneth Grant DT Michigan
43. TreVeyon Henderson RB Ohio State - I have the feeling that I need to take him early like this from now on...

61. Jayden Higgins WR Iowa State
68. Bradyn Swinson EDGE LSU
81. Elic Ayomanor WR Stanford - Don't recall seeing him available this late before

91. Anthony Belton OT NC State
100. Terrance Ferguson TE Oregon - Taylor's a top-50 prospect now, and Arroyo was taken two picks after Swinson

113. Jacob Parrish CB Kansas State - Was gonna take Danny Stutsman here but he was taken just two picks earlier

119. Demetrius Knight Jr. LB South Carolina - Bentley replacement with a lot more athleticism

136. Charles Grant OT William & Mary
149. Malachi Moore S Alabama - last chance this year to find a McCourty replacement

159. Jack Sawyer EDGE Ohio State - PFN still has him ranked #184!

171. Nick Nash WR San Jose State - I preferred a WR with more juice from the Slot, but he was clearly the best WR available, which does Not include Isaac Tesla, who was taken at 156!

180. Brashard Smith RB SMU - former Slot Receiver; hmmm...

209. Caleb Ransaw CB Tulane
212. Willie Lampkin OG North Carolina
214. Cody Simon LB Ohio State
256. Ryan Fitzgerald K Florida State

4 OLmen, 3 WRs, 2 RBs, 1 TE, 1 DT, 2 DEs, 2 LBs, CB/FS/DB, and the kicker

2026 GB 2nd
2026 LV 2nd
2026 GB 4th
2026 LAC 6th
2026 WAS 6th
2026 ARI 7th

I was just fooling around and wasn't going to share any mocks, but the board went perfectly for me this time with Conerly and Higgins falling into my hands without the need to trade up.

Wonderful first names. Except for 106. What the hell was his momma thinking?

I probably should have taken WR Jimmy Horn Jr at 238. Fidone, if his troublesome knee checks out, has the potential to develop into bona fide receiving TE. Nebraska on offense has been almost as bad as the Patriots OL in recent years. So that and his injuries show meagre (Manxman’s spelling) production.

No trades. Jeanty, with his elite leg strength and balance, will be able to execute long runs after contact multiple times a game. The OL will suddenly look better. Defenses will worry about swarming to the ball. All the sudden Drake Maye has an extra beat or two to throw the ball after play action fakes. The one player opens up the field.

Ashton Jeanty=Walter Payton.

Two Ashtons are better than one.

I REALLY like Upton Stout but there was the story that Vrabel wanted to get bigger at the NB spot. That's the only reason I don't mock him more often.

Those first eight picks are outstanding.
He is certainly strong enough to put on some muscle.

Just f’n around with this one. Taking the two highest rated backs to run a prolific running attack while still filling other needs is kind of just a project mock. Still came out alright imo with a few trades. Dt’s are just so deep this draft which is a blessing for this team.

It's good to see Xavier Watts being included in some mocks now - a good candidate for a surprise luxury 2nd round pick as an out and out free safety.
