It doesn't look like Matt Patricia is calling the plays either. Combination of the other D coaches. Patricia on headset though.

Pretty sure they can't go into week 1 with that roster, would put them over the cap. Someone on your roster has to go, and it has to be someone who makes enough to put them under the cap.

Not sure what our cap is, as i don't really follow it, but if were under its completely feasible to keep all those guys around + Branch, while making a solid roster.

Good point. Pass rushing DEs and DTs are all solid against the run. Could be an issue, but we don't have a bunch of spinning tops that can't tackle, with the transition to lighter DTs.

He has the Pats' final 56 at $800k over the cap (aka they have to free up $800k plus some extra by cutting three guys, which means some unexpected cuts will be necessary). And he's already assuming that they cut Branch just to get to that position. If they keep Branch over some minimum salary guy, add some more to that deficit that needs to be accounted for somewhere.
