There's nothing reasonable about calling someone a childish punk-ass and basing your entire opinion of them on the fact that they occasionally have the nerve to celebrate when they make a good play. Doubly so when it's based on something that you don't have any knowledge of, and you're relying on some guy on the internet's one-sentence summary that's widely disputed and probably isn't even correct.

My dim view of your childish binky encompasses more than his on-field "dabbin'" ganja glorifications, Superman and jump-shot nonsense, etc., etc. ...

True, that's definitely the one legitimate issue on his record, and if people judge him for that then I may not agree but I think the reasoning behind it is at least reasonably defensible.

That's also not what I was referring to, though. My 'pearl clutching' comment was responding directly to the claim that he's a childish punk-ass who isn't worth valuing as an athlete because he sometimes does a celebratory dance move that someone once suggested might be modeled after taking a bong rip.

He's definitely a douche bag and needs to grow up a bit, but he's otherwise harmless. There are plenty of douche bag athletes out there and I've rooted for a lot of them too. Newton is one of those guys.

What are you accusing me of accusing people of? Have the guts to state it. Just playing man, I really wasn't trying to pull the race card. The "umm" was like a for-lack-of-a-better-word, or an indication that I was trying to come up with a decent umbrella term for people who are not Newton fans when I'm sure everyone is different and has their own tastes and reasons.
