Fatal Flaw: no real pass rusher

I'll probably get bashed, but I am sick and tired of pats fans complaining about the pass rush. Its not great, but it is good. Everyone acts like it is horrid.

Think about it on the other side of the field!!!

Well, Brady didn't have 5 seconds when it mattered. Nobody said the Colts were great. Just because they arent great on D doesn't mean it's nay better for the Pats. The secondary is loaded yet they still can't stop Manning. It's because of this team's 50/50 pass rush.

It is difficult when you have a game plan without Warren and Green and THEN also lose Banta-Cain and Ninkovich during the game.

Burgess did indeed step up bigtime, and Pryor was playing OK. Thomas and Guyton were doing their job.

The injuries didn't help, but more than anything else I think the issue was defensive playcalling after we were 17 points ahead.

Kinda like the rest of the D.

I agree thenumber one need on this team is a dominant pass rusher, one that teams must account for in particular, but it's hard not to notice that while the Colts have TWO extraordinary rushers in Mathis and Freeny, TB racked up an awesome QB line:

Of course, I suppose you could turn it around and say TB would have thrown for 500+ w/o Mathis and Freeny chasing him. Might be true...
