As I posted over there:

You would think they'd have that on the intern checklist.

[ ] No explicit language on clothing

[ ] No obscene gestures

[ ] Does not contain both a 3 and a 28

That would mean they have to actively remind themselves of it.

So they don’t, and this happens.

It’s good either way, a gift that keeps on giving. As good as, maybe better than the Butt Fumble. Hmm, that should be a poll question I think…

It was this superbowl... that I actually fell in love with the Pats.

I never liked Atlanta... growing up in TN before we had a pro football "team"..

A lot of the southern states nearby kinda held the Falcons as the "home team"...

Well in those days the Falcons of the early 90s stunk on ice.

As a kid back then I rooted for anybody but the Falcons as they sucked.

I remember rooting against them in the 98 season when Elway finished them off and sent them back to the suck.

And then...

I remember watching that superbowl and being pissed at the patriots... they were going to be the team that let Atlanta win...

I turned the game off at half. I checked back several times before being glued to the rest of the game.

Oh man... I thought Arthur Blank was going to keel over at the end.

I've cheered and been happy withs some super bowl results... but I never laughed my ass off.

LOL, Good for them, that took some balls to post...

the only way they will "get over it" is to stop hiding / running from 28-3...

They will still take 28-3 digs, for sure, but the more they own it, the less it will bloody their nose every time they get smacked in the face with it...

I was surprised that far-western Carolina is still mostly Falcons territory.

Watched the rerun of that game the other night on NFLN. It was amazing how many times that game should have been over. From mid-way through the 3rd quarter, all Atlanta had to do was get one more FG the rest of the way and it's out of reach. At the end of the 3rd we tried an onside kick and the Falcons took over on our side of midfield. All they needed was 8 yards to get in FG range. We stopped them cold and forced a punt. Then they had 2 more possessions in the 4th quarter on our side of the 50, including one where they got to our 23, and we turned them back. Trey Flowers was in on every big play.

I think mentally those 3 points probably put the game out of reach and likely change the outcome if the Falcons could have just managed it properly. But the wild thing is that we were on such a role that we actually almost got the ball back with enough time to win it in regulation. Remember Harmon almost picked one off and we did get it punted back to us and tried that weird play to Dion Lewis.

I used to think a straight up blowout would have been awesome, but with the passage of time I realized this was far sweeter.

Watching the Seachickens fans reaction videos was much funnier, IMO, than the Falcons ones.
Agree.
Gotta cut Falcon fans a break. Everyone on earth, including all of us, thought the game was over late in the 3rd at 28-3. Buck and Aikman were looking for ways to fill air time so people would stay tuned. Had to be torture watching it slip away.

Taking it down after they posted it shows that posting it wasn’t because they had balls, just that they lacked brains.

And down 28-3 was no fluke, we were getting our asses kicked every possible way. Wasn’t like some bad calls or fluky turnovers caused it.

Someone had balls til someone else got their twatwaffle scrunched up in a tizzy

I have always thought the look Angie Blank gave her husband, combined with the look on Arthur Blank's face is iconic.

Perfect timing by whoever the photographer was.

Our youngest son (a non-sports fan) had some great experiences in college down there for a couple of years in 2001-2, so I almost felt bad for the Atlanta fans. Almost.
