Remember how they said experience was overrated? Remember when they said the youth wouldn't matter because ATL was fast, fresh and hungry? Yeah, last night was proof that being there before means something from top to bottom. The coaching and TB12 is where the game was won for NE and lost for ATL. Wasted timeouts, abandoning the run and a 7-step drop on third down when you only need two all show me this fact. Josh would have been one of the scapegoats had they lost, and maybe rightfully so, but he made the right calls when it mattered most. Brady made the right reads when it mattered most. The receivers made the clutch plays that only come with wisdom and experience. And even before that, they never got on each other when things didn't go well. Didn't you all notice how ATL started pointing fingers when the comeback was on? Yeah, that's youth vs. experience.

Brady even mentioned conditioning and the fact the offensive line had already faced adversity during his interview this morning on WEEI as one of the reasons they held up down the stretch. That was big, and it was definitely a factor in the outcome.

Yeah, nobody is going to convince me that being there seven times doesn't make at least a small difference, especially in crunch time. They made the plays, ATL crumbled. That's experience on the field with the players and off the field with the coaching.

Atlanta got scared down the stretch and played not to lose, where New England never got down and kept coming at them. You saw it when Belichick elected to go for the FG to pull within 16 at 28-12. Another coach might have panicked and gone for it on 4th down. He played it cool and it obviously paid off, which happens when you've been there before and have faced adversity.

One thing that drove me crazy and I was going nuts in the game thread was the slow pace on that TD drive in the 3rd quarter. They were just moseying along like they were on a nice afternoon stroll. In retrospect, they just had to get something done, and that was what gave them their best shot. Even that was a good decision, in retrospect.

Another case where other teams might have panicked and rushed, where Brady obviously didn't. I thought the same thing but then thought getting points is key. Obviously, it turned out pretty well

There was no panic. That was evident on the first drive of the third when High made the tackle for loss and made a "no no" gesture. The team was still confident. Seriously, contrast everything that you saw last night to what you saw watching GB when they were down by almost the same margin particularly Brady vs. Rodgers reactions to things.

But Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the game right now...all the "experts" say so

I have said I'd take him if I couldn't have Brady, but I have Brady so it's THANKFULLY MOOT.
