ESPN is aware that New England fans hate them

Well, they also have haters here in NY/NJ.

After their role in that Deflategate nonsense, I removed them from my fav channels and we don't watch them (and NFL) unless it is a Pats game or key college game or post-game PCs of Pats.

BSPN is the apt name for those jerks.

I already did a complete workup detailing the cross pollination of executives from Disney and ESPN complete with hard copy quotes showing a severe bias against Tom Brady and his "lifestyle". It has to be 8 or 9 years now, long before you joined this site We know all about Disney and their malignant intentions.
Essentially, New York media. Pretending to be a national, unbiased organization.

Just like the NFL.

ESPN was once a great network for sports and entertainment. The network now seems more interested in creating controversies where none exist so that they'll have something to scream about on their endless number of news and talk shows.

I think this is partly a product of the 24 hour news cycle. Not to get too political, but the cable news networks do the same thing. 99% of the time, there just isn't enough content to support a 24 hour news cycle, so as a result they just create content by making something out of nothing. ESPN falls solidly in that category as well.

Sort of. It's the economics.

There are 1,000 stories they could be on any given day.

They prefer to cover 5 stories with reports like "Breaking news, there is still nothing new. Let's grab a man on the street and ask him what he thinks about nothing new happening."

Of 100 ESPN reporters/hosts listed, 30 are picking Atlanta--Mike Golic vociferously so. This is a higher percentage than those I've come across at other networks. The 4-5 Boston guys of course chose the Pats, so the percentage is even higher, or about 1 in 3.

I'd be interested to see what happened to their rating in NE. I would guess they tanked.

It took them this long to figure it out . How dumb can you be ???

And they have multiple channels too!

Earlier today there were co-hosts on ESPN talk radio. Both were trying hard to bring down the Pats. One said: 'The thing with New England is that they played nobody this year--until they played Pittsburgh, and they came into Boston all beat up and fatigued. Big Ben was the only good QB they went up against all year. I think they're in for an awakening tomorrow.' (not the exact words, but damn close to it)

We hate bspn too

Interesting. Why?

You forgot anti-semetic... Walt was notorious for that

I used to believe that. My parents wanted to take the whole family to Disney, and as a Jew, I wanted to see the truth of it. Apparently, there's no evidence to support the legend, and he had a handful of Jewish partners. My understanding is that it started with an unsubstantiated rumor that spiraled out of control.

Not that us Pats fans know what that's about...

ESPN is wrong again. I do not hate ESPN. "Hate" does not properly apply to the feeling of disgust and repulsion I have for them.
But best not to stoop to their level. Best to remain magnanimous. So as their viewership drops and their on air personalities get canned, I wish these personalities an unencumbered and speedy process at the unemployment center.

They constantly down the falcons even when were doing well. The average NFL fan doesn't have a clue how good our offense actually is. It's one of the most efficient of all time. If Green bay or the cowboys did that we'd never hear the end of it

I don't watch BSPN, but a common complaint I hear is that it's all Cowboys and Pats, all the time.

How tf did they miss keion carpenter in the memorandum

ESPN deserves whatever venom comes their way from New England and Patriots fans. There was a really simple way to avoid that: Stop lying about their team. Mortensen's 11 of 12 report turning out to be false was a big deal and they continue to pretend like it was valid. The Rams walkthrough story is fiction, but all of their platforms continue to treat it like it's real.

Something I could never understand was why ESPN never had anyone be pro-Patriots. I don't mean saying that the team/Brady/Belichick are great because they do do that. Those mentions just don't get as much attention as the negative stuff the peddle. I mean a person who calls BS on all the cheating nonsense. There's no counter-balance for that. If anything, there's evidence that they discourage people disputing that. Reiss poked a few holes in the negative Wickersham/Van Atta story a couple years ago and those were removed from his column.

As a hypothetical example, 5 years ago, you could hear Skip Bayless say Kobe Bryant was the greatest ever. Then, a few house later, Colin Cowherd would say Kobe's totally overrated. Now, you'll hear Stephen A. Smith say something negative about the Patriots. Then, a few hours later, Dan LeBetard will say something negative about the Patriots. Wouldn't they entertain more people or relate to a wider audience if they offered differing opinions, like they do on just about every other topic?

Aside from being wife material, it's a reason I really like Katie Nolan. Sure, she's not always the most articulate with her positions on the "Cheatriots" ********, but she demonstrates far more knowledge and authority on the subject than anyone else on air, and she defends the wall.

I'll support her and click on her videos and links.
