I don’t believe tbh is a fan at all. I can see an argument for illegal, I don’t include the really negative GDT posters who are just really miserable Pats fans, but those just trying to piss people off should be banned.
I've toyed with TBH to see what his deal was and he just preys on the overly sensitive. I think for me he has entertainment value. He doesn't mean any harm...just my experience.

2018 ans people still haven't learned the #1 rule of the internet.

Dont feed the trolls. Ignore them. Without an audience to enrage, they'll go away.

Telling them to shut it or calling them idiots is doing exactly what they want

Sometimes it takes time to figure out if a poster is a troll or not.

For example, I thought dafoe2016 was a troll. Turned out he is an emotionally unbalanced idiot.

patsfannumero1 was under troll suspicion but turns out he is a fan who just thinks the world will end tomorrow.

Mosslost is a peculiar fellow. He was under suspicion but I think he's actually Manny Ramirez and very funny

Actually we have been citing the cap implications of moving Brady for the last two years, using Miguel as the factual basis, but the Garrapolites have just ignored it, just as they have ignored all facts and statistics related to this situation.

I certainly understand that, but I'm only referring to the cap space specifics present during this season in relation to Wickersham's claim that other, personal relationship factors determined the outcome of the JG trade.

I don’t think any of those are trolls. Rhody, cutie pie, and tbh clearly are imo. In general I just don’t like people who get off in trying to antagonize other people. I think they are sick f.cks who are completely miserable, so they try to make others angry as a way of pleasing themselves. And every psychological study of them supports that.

I believe there was some truth to the Wickershams column, although it still reads like a gossip piece and never should have been published. I do feel that Belichick doesn't play the loyalty game and would have preferred to keep Jimmy. I also think Krafts best move right now would be to extend Bill 4 years/44 mil or 5 years/55 mil. That would serve in making Bill the highest paid coach in the game which he deserves.

When people say Wickersham had 14 sources for the article inside the Patriots, realize that there were many anecdotes in the article. He could have talked to 13 people about deflategate, and only one person (a disgruntled trainer?) about all the other crap.

So don't buy this "numerous" sources stuff. That could mean anything.

It's entirely possible that Wickersham had a dozen or so "sources". However, based on what he published ...
A) his sources are morons
B) Wickersham only heard what he wanted to hear in whatever they told him
C) the sources were pranking the living s**t out of him

Kind of irrelevant, though, since Wickersham is a moron regardless.

Do people not trust bill to draft another QB high this year and groom him to be a solid starter? I do. Even Brisett while unpolished has shown he is an NFL player and can at least Play in Indy.

Brady just outlasted Jimmy. you can look at it as a good thing or bad. I look at it as a good thing because we just won 2 superbowls in the last 3 years and are the #1 seed in the playoffs with a 40year old brady playing at an MVP level.

with Brady we are THE Team to beat the next couple of years and are pretty much a coinflip every year from the superbowl. With Jimmy G we are probably still a playoff team. but are we a coinflip? probably not.

Bill will draft someone high this year. probably in the 1st or 2nd and develop them the next 2-3 years. I trust the patriots player development.

Yeah

This is the key.

Jimmy G arrived three years too early.

I went to the week 17 game in Indianapolis. Talk about guys not open with little creativity on the Indy offense.

Brissett acquitted himself well....

yeah, and he pretty much said if you believe Bill is going to leave because of the alex Guerrero issue than I have a bridge I can sell you.

I don’t know many here who don’t think Guerrero became an issue for Belichick, and that Belichick reduced his access to the team as a result. And if Brady has a problem with that then that’s his issue, Belichick has to do what he thinks is best and Brady has to live with that.

I agree. At the end of the day trolls are what you say.

Like you I call them out when they mouth off. Once I do that typically the regulars on this board go into attack mode and they either voluntarily go away or the mods cut off their access.

Going back to Brady's last contract - how could any sportswriter in their right mind write some of the crap we have read this week?

Report: Tom Brady extension numbers revealed
According to ESPN.com and other reports the Patriots and Brady have made the two-year extension official and the quarterback will receive a $28 million signing bonus as well as base salaries of $1 million this year and next and $14 million in 2018 and 2019. He can also earn $1 million roster bonuses in the final two years.

That makes the extension worth up to $60 million total with $41 million in new money. His cap hits for the duration of the deal are as follows: 2016L $14 million, 2017: $14 million, 2018: $22 million and 2019: $22 million.

So the Patriots save slightly on the cap this year, shaving $1 million of the $15 million total he held prior to the extension. Meanwhile Brady get additional cash coming off two strong seasons but remains a bargain in terms of quarterback play around the league

he (Garoppolo) is very slight of stature

Garoppolo measured 6022 coming out of college - the average height of an NFL QB. He's listed at 225, the same weight as Brady.

While Garoppolo may very well not be able to stand up to the punishment that Brady has taken, it won't be because his "stature is slight".

I honestly never considered the idea that the sources were pranking Wickersham but given the stuff about Patriot if the Week, And Brady makes young players call him “ sir” it makes sense.

This is far as I'll go with speculating what BB was thinking..

I do believe, from a long term planning perspective he wanted a reason to start Jimmy and move on from Tom. It had nothing to do with AG.

The reality of the situation is his 40 year old QB is still playing at a ridiculously high level and his demise cannot be projected at this time. Additionally, he is financially attractive and most importantly gives this team, and not Jimmy a better chance to win a SB this year and in 2018.

4 Trolls are now blocked from the thread - carry on.
Sometimes I feel like a homeroll (homer+troll) but someone will post something funny and I return to homer status. Thank you.

I don't think BB would waste a single minute orchestrating a hit piece which made Sham look like a fool or Tom like a primadonna.
