There it is. That is how it went down. No conspiracies necessary... Occams Razor people...

Its too simple to be believable. There has to be a Bigfoot involved or a 2nd gunman behind a fence on the grassy knoll.

Even at his best, Giardi isn't much of a reporter/analyst. But, once he gets emotionally invested in something/someone specific, he's absolute crap.
He has an emotional issue.

You can say that again. I mean this guy is OBSESSED.

This is in response to an MVP question.

There are plenty more where that came from but the bandwidth here is too much.

Is that the 425 game that JG threw 2 1st half int's?

The problem with that theory is .......

Wickersham

You can't get all 3 positions to line up.

I think you're reading too much into what Giardi wrote. Giardi didn't explicitly back up Wickersham on this. He's saying it's semantics. Reads to me -- Giardi agrees that no actual formal contract offer was written, but he says they definitely talked parameters.

What’s really funny is that the quote is attributed to “one person inside the building”. Who? The janitor?
I bet it was wickersham who said it, so that he could quote himself in this masterpiece later .

Because it’s not new. Wickersham (and Van Nota) already made the claim that staffers believed it to be true in their “Deflategate is punishment for Spygate” article a year or so ago.

Thanks.

I guess ten years of not reading espn.com or watching espn have left me under-informed ...

I'm still trying to understand how this article is earth shattering? It's nothing new and full of unnamed sources and coaches. I just don't get it. Actually the only thing I get is this is an obvious smear piece on Tom Brady and that people are sheep and believe everything they read.

Hope the Patriots as an organization squash this dead.
Lombardi 6 coming.. and then 7. F them.

I hope they take this out hard on the Steelers lol

When people tell you a contract wasn't discussed with Garoppolo, they're playing a game of semantics at best. At worst, they're lying. Belichick wanted him to stay and made every effort to extend him

He "made every effort", but he didn't actually offer him a contract so, despite Giardi's claim, he didn't actually make every effort. I don't see that as reading too much into what Giardi wrote, but your mileage may (obviously) vary.

In the meantime, others are saying no contract was offered, and Wickersham is saying that JAG and his agent were declining offers.

Offers
"Well, offers, but not really offers"
No offers

They can't be reconciled, and Giardi needs to take a valium.
