NFL Rumors: Bill Belichick Wants To Coach At Least Five More Years, Outlast Tom Brady

I believe it. BB has an ego. he wants to prove that it wasn't Brady. He knows what his record was in cleveland and what his record was with the Patriots before Brady was starting. He had a guy he felt he could win with in Jimmy and it would have been overwhelming proof that Belichick could continue this great run even without TB12.
What I think is Belichick believes in excellence and perfection - the winning is the result.
I would not ever think he would stock his team with inferior talent just to prove an egotistical concept.
He is a big believer in military concepts - team concepts - there is no 'I' in team.

Are you serious?

BB's a smart guy. He sees Jimmy every single day. He knows how good he is. No way in a million years does he trade somebody like that who can continue this run when Tom is 40 years old without Kraft stepping in. No way. BB puts that sentimental crap aside and does what's best.

This could very well be an assistant to a low level scout saying that he "thinks" that he "feels like" it "might" be the last year the 3 of them are together.
Based on information from the sources, it's more probable than not that the parties named are generally aware of a major rift in the clearly tentative alliance, and that the collapse of their collaboration, and thus the franchise, is imminent. The New England Patriots should fold, prior to the playoffs, to cut their losses.

The US Courts will agree and back up this conclusion.

The problem is that CNN or CBS or NBC, for example, will not identify BSPN accurately as a the agenda-driven, zero-credibility rag which BradyFTW! accurately describes them to be. All the local news outlets report the BSPN story like it's legitimate and credible.

I would suggest that it be blared across the world that Walt Disney was a gay, racist, nativist child molester as legitimate news and Disney would likely sue for libel, which the Patriots should have done decades ago.

"The Patriots do not deserve to be in the Super Bowl"

"The Patriots are in the midst of a drug scandal"

"Several Patriots committed 'mind-rape'"

"The Patriots are a national disgrace"

"The 'controversial' Tuck Rule"

"They hate their coach"

"The Patriots have no chance of winning this divisional playoff game"

"The Patriots cheated"

"The Patriots' illegal taping"

"The Patriots' illegal tampering of footballs"

"The Patriots' run of success is over"

"11 of the 12 footballs used in the AFCCG 1/18/15 were 2 pounds per square inch (PSI) under NFL regulation"

"The Patriots taped the Rams' pre-game walkthrough"

According to my anonymous sources, Seth Wickersham and Chris Mortensen are only two of countless male BSPN employees who are regularly teabagging each other in their Bristol, Ct offices, in the same way that Roger Goodell and Jeff Pash and others in the NFL offices do.

On 5 January 2018, Goodell announced a new merger between the NFL and ESPN Corp., creating a new sports entity named the "American Fair Play Enterprise". To ease concerns among national supporters, Goodell made clear that it the union supported teams outside of Foxborough, MA and that its biased policy was meant to give parity to NFL teams deemed part of the non-Massachusetts demographic. They became one of many völkisch movements to rise in the United States. This ideology was explicitly anti-Patriots. Later that year, the union was raising money by selling a beer called Anti-Pat. Prior to the 2018 NFL season, it was made clear to officials that correctly calling replays in favor of the Patriots would result in immediate demotion, suspension and ultimate termination.

I find it very hard to believe a man of his status, and intellectual being while also being married to a woman who has vultures preying at all times would be taken advantage of. I believe it works for him...not saying Guerrero is legit, just that it's good mojo. It works. Leave it alone.

It's one thing for people not to like a specific practitioner of alternative medical/training/nutritional approaches. It's another thing for people to belittle all such alternative notions and practitioners. We've seen conventional wisdom in those fields proven wrong far too often.

He's also a big believer in letting a guy go a year or 2 before he's lost it and bringing in "the next man up" which is another military concept.

Exactly - which is why Jimmy is gone because they need the cap room.

I'm in no position to make that call. All I know, is I trust TB. If it works for him so be it.

I was a huge fan of that cartoon ... Underdog ... Road Runner ... Speed Racer ... 3 Stooges.
Back when cartoons were good.

Although Family Guy is funny.

only time will tell if this was the right move. Right now all we have is gossip, rumors, sources say this/that and whatever. Nobody knows unless you're in that organization.

Was listening to WEEI in the car. Jeezalou. Those guys get paid for this?

Both Dale and Holley appear to be unaware that:

1. Garoppolo is a Free Agent at the end of the 2017 season. They spent 5-10 minutes discussing how dumb it was to trade him now rather than just wait for the end of the season.
2. The Pats no longer had the cap room to extend Garoppolo (see @MainePatsFan26 's post on this ).

Holley was taking it as gospel that Kraft ordered BB to trade Jimmy G.

I am in the wrong line of work.
Holley is right there with Felger and CHB. All to be ignored.

Agreed.

LIke Wade Boggs eating a bucket of KFC before every game. Now he's a HOF so it obviously worked for him.
