Whoever was in the studio should have pointed out that there is a big book for sale where tom brady gives the answer as to why he's able to sustain excellence at 40. I mean seriously his book was all over the news. My girlfriend got it for me for Xmas and it really is a good read.

You lost me at ESPN. Not clicking on or listening to anything they have to say. You think they would have learned by now that alienating the huge fan base of the best team in the country, which plays in their own back yard, is not the way to go to improve your sports network's fortunes. And yet, they continue to make up crap and run with it, and then cry when they have to lay off another few hundred people. ESPN sucks and should not be referenced on this forum, ever.

Figured that talking point/strategy to pull Tom down would have started before now. He should have some proof or they need to get rid of him. Anyone can make crap up, but doesn't mean it should be put out there because you have an audience.

Perhaps Dan should go "live as Brady does" for 1 month and see what happens to his overall physical well being (assuming he could survive it in the first place).

Put your money where your mouth is. Live it, understand it and then decide if there's anything to it.
I agree. When it comes to things like a player's marketable reputation, click baiters like this ass-hole need to show some restraint. It's not like a package of HGH showed up in Brookline like in the case of Manning. THEN it would be fair to make the connection. But in this case, this is simply slander under the guise of the media's first amendment right's. There isn't a sliver of evidence that Brady did what Lebatard suggests.

Like a previous poster suggested, by his standards, it would be fair to "suggest" that Lebatard is a pedophile, who is running a major South Florida child porn ring out of his basement. I mean I can connect those dots. His smarmy smile looks just like one I once saw in an arrest photo of another guy arrested for child porn. And now that I think about it, that guy's last name had the same number of syllables as Le-ba-tard. There ya go. That's almost like proof positive using Lebatard's standard of inference.

“And this is what I want to ask you: … When faced with a quarterback who is aging in a way that has no precedent in the history of aging, is there any particular reason that people aren’t questioning that?” Le Batard asked co-host Stugotz. “Man, we climbed into Peyton Manning … Peyton Manning doesn’t look the part on pharmaceuticals, and Al Jazeera was climbing around in his wife’s stuff, trying to get at the hormones. “And so what I’m asking you is, is it an unfair question to wonder whether, when facing something that has literally no precedent in the history of football or aging, to be like, ‘how?’ ” Stugotz’s response: “No, it’s not an unfair question.”

Brett Favre in 2009 put up similar stats at the same age as Brady. And Brady has clearly gone on a more intense fitness/health regime than Favre.

Drew Brees is less than a year and half younger than Brady and still performing at a high level as well.

Do the people at ESPN even watch football?

LeBaretard strikes again.

i guess if i was on that show i would say something like:

"well dan, here is a picture of peyton as a rookie, and here he is a few years from retirement, see how swollen his head is? thats a visual sign of steroid abuse"

and "Also dan, you have to remember, Tom is RELIGIOUS about his diet, so much so that people often make fun of him for it, and then you look at peyton and you see him eating chicken parms, and drinking beer all the time. brady has gotten slimmer as he aged, and peyton got chubbier."

Dear Dan,

The league suspended Tom Brady for suspicion of deflating balls. Do you really think they wouldn't test the living crap out of his piss?

I'm shocked it took this long. Soon, everyone will "know" that Tom is on PEDs, just like they "know" the Pats get preferential treatment from the refs.

That's what happens when a team reaches "repeat cheater" status with the league.

I wish LeBatard's daddy would soundly backhand him for his rumor-mongering.

This of course would be the obvious talking point since nobody has ever trained like Brady before but of course that assumes the question was genuine and not some veiled cowardly attempt to suggest something nefarious.

The best part of his rant comes before the 14:00 mark, when he bemoans the cynicism that has crept into sports, immediately before launching into his "question" about the way Brady has aged "that has no precedent in the history of aging..."

There you have it: (1) irony; (2) total lack of self-awareness; and (3) ignorance. All demonstrated in less than 60 seconds. This belongs in journalism school.

Not clicking ESPN, so not reading but does this dipschitt really think Brady LOOKS like he's taking steroids? He has NONE of the typical roid telltale signs like a big forehead, receding hairline, acne, *****tits, bloat....
Plus if he were taking schitt he'd be more likely to get muscle and joint injuries, which I don't think he's ever had..
As a matter of fact, Brady looks like he has very little muscle mass compared to other qbs...

Dan Lebatard is a no-talent hack who just talks loud to get attention and uses his (faux) minority status to deflect criticism. He couldn't possible have a radio show unless he was blackmailing ESPN executives. That's a crime. What does he have on these executives that they are so ashamed of having divulged?

And when you have a society that spends too much time looking at electronics and technology, as they get dumber and dumber and...dumber.

It's a very scary reflection on this country's future.

Brady has become very slim especially compared to when he was 24. Look at the facial comparison. Talk about dropping baby fat.

Tom looks like he’s on something all right, and that something is a no-sugar diet.

Yep.

It's pretty damn simple, but if I am Brady, Kraft, BB, I start laying out defamation suits.

I honestly have no idea why they allow this.

from seth wickerSham now to dan Re baTard?
