Look at it compared to ours and how night and day it is...

They play physical. We play soft and conservative.

They have swagger. We have a bunch of confused guys bumbling around out there.

They force turnovers like crazy. We have a phobia of turnovers.

They go flying off the line every play. We just made one of the worst O lines in football look like Dallas.

I'm sure I'm missing a few as well. What frustrates me about all this was how exciting it's been watching the defense get better every single year since 2011. And now, with two solid swipes, all that progress is shot. The development is dead, and we are left with a defense that's a shell of what it was a year ago. We're back to where we started five years ago, as a matter of fact...

Well they got playmakers on defense. We need better personnel on defense. Idk how they can tweak this defense.

They blatantly grab receivers way down field.

They blatantly interfere with receivers with the ball in the air.

They come flying in borderline late looking to make kill shots on a regular basis.

If the Patriots played like them they would amass 100 yards in penalties a half.

i miss the 2014 defense we had. so deep at every position..

swag/passion/energy. we had it all. this defense is full of lethargic player.s.

Their Safeties make Receivers pay. Ours escort Receivers to the turf. Chung is a great tackler but not a consistent hard hitter. But yea. If I was a receiver, I would be afraid to make catches around their Safeties.

I'm not envious of the Seattle D. We put up 24 on them with our offense basically playing their B game. Our D is why we lost this game and poor play calling on both sides of the ball

During the game, I actually realized that we have no superstars on D. Hightower and Dmac are very very good, but we don't have a game changer like Sherman or chancellor or Bennett (even though he wasn't playing).

I still think we'll be just fine this year, but we could use a Revis type signing this off-season.

Meh, that defense let Wilson in the game at the end of the half and then at the end of the game. Butler was game changer. Today wasnt bad either.

To have a defense like that, you pay for it.

Their o line and running backs are way under cost because of it. If you find cheap talent, it works. Unfortunately Their oline has no talent.

Yet half of the defensive starters from that year remain on this team...

Collins was that guy before he took up a career in freelancing this year.

Luckily we gave away two of our best defensive players for a 2nd round pick (aka future undersized corner who gets burned all the time) and essentially nothing in the case of Collins.

Everyone has a weak spot but I'd be surprised if they make the super bowl when they play a good D and can't run or protect Wilson. That OLine is garbage and we made them look great

Their o line has no talent yet handled our defensive line well. What does that say about our defensive line?

If you only looked at their o line tonight you'd think they suited up 5 hall of famers

Agreed. 2014 D was fun to watch. I was glad to see them on the field and wanted to see what our D would do to the opponents offense. Now when our D is on the field I just cringe.
