EDIT: McDaniels to Colts is now NOT going to happen.

I didn't like the play, because I didn't think the Patriots needed to get cute to move the ball on that offense, but:

What if the pass had been better?
What if Brady caught the ball didn't make it down or to the sideline in time and his head got taken off?

Yeah the offense stunk tonight only 618 yards and 33 points in a Super Bowl

Who said That?

The jet sweep for 2 yard first down resulting in a loss. Brady's attempted catch on 3rd and 5 when apparently it was gonna be 4 down territory and other silly stuff really messed with the groove of the game and kept them from keeping pace score wise

The second half they just went back to conventional offensive play and they took off.

We got too cute early on and fell behind because of it.

There was no one at all around him. I am sure the option on this play is that if someone actually stays with Brady on that play to never throw him the ball.

I'm sort of excited to see our team under new coordinators. There will most likely be an adjustment period but Brady is the Goat. Hopefully all of the cute crap that puts us in early holes gets eliminated.

Conspiracy Theory: Colts started the whole deflategate mess. What if McDaniels is staying here, and BB is retiring? McDaniels tells the Colts he's in, then stays, which is why we are hearing the reports that he hasn't told the Patriots he's leaving. I know it's pretty contrived, but it's payback. We know thru history what a mess it was with Parcells/Belichick and the Jests. I don't put it past Bill.

They already picked a staff that Josh hand selected.
It be crazy if he stays.

McDaniels is a great OC but somedays it's like it was yesterday, I knew it would be bad after that run on a 2nd and goal with James White.

We don't have a power back to run against that defense, just throw 3 times if needed and get 7, it was absolutely crucial.

How sweet would that be if Josh actually F'd them with no lube.

You would think that josh would be screwing them but we would eventually be getting screwed worse. I think he’s a good OC, I don’t think he would make a good HC

Hard to say I think he is going there.

I would give him a chance at HC again. I think he's gonna be good. He made mistakes with Denver but I'm sure he's grown as a coach since then.

Other than sometimes getting cute with playcalling, he often more than not makes great in game adjustments.

The NFL has to change the rules on coaching hires.

he was about as effective in his first stint at head coach as BB was with the Browns......just sayin'

Let's just see what happens.
I'm hoping for Schiano coming in maybe he could of called a play to cover a sneeze last night.

The buzz on Josh staying is getting louder.
