He's sure got the pulse of Patriots NationReal funny Julian
His knees are shot. From a football perspective, who knows if he could even make an NFL roster at this point? He hasn't played since week 6 of 2020, he wasn't necessarily a durable player to begin with, and the drops were piling up over his last couple of seasons. If I'm Tampa Bay I'm content with Russell Gage entering his prime seasons in the slot. I don't know, would Edelman be more productive than Jakobi at this point? I doubt it.
Right, but an Edelman attempted comeback is not the most improbable idea. His knees are shot.
The Patriots released him, though, so he could get the injury protection benefit under the CBA. If he did unretire he'd be a free agent.Retired players can’t just decide to sign with new teams when they’re under contract with their original team. Should be an easy tip off.
It actually says April Fools right in the picture.April Fools

Gronk did it. It happened very fast, couple of days before the draft.Retired players can’t just decide to sign with new teams when they’re under contract with their original team. Should be an easy tip off.

copy and paste it.Phew, I almost had to write up a formal Mea Culpa to @Triumph
Trainers and medical staff can work all kinds of miracles.Right, but an Edelman attempted comeback is not the most improbable idea.
Says here that Edelmans contract was terminated. Wouldnt that mean that NE has no control over his rights? The Patriots can only control the rights of players under active contracts. Once that contract is expires that player is a Free Agent. I suppose the Pats could go after Edelman for dead money, but why beat a dead horse with a dead horse. BB would just let him go and move on.Gronk was traded.
Sure, it was what he wanted, but he couldn't just come out of retirement and play with the Bucs without the Patriots agreeing to trade him first.
The Pats cut him with a "failed Physical" designation so he could collect another $2 million under the injury protection clause of the CBA. So yes, the Pats no longer hold his rights, but they did that so that Edelman could collect $2 mil, not something someone forgets the club did for him (unless your name is Brady ). His knees are gone, he now has to think about being able to walk for the rest of his life. He is not coming back.Says here that Edelmans contract was terminated.
