Edelman Injury Seems to Now Be Confirmed

How long before somebody asks if the Patriots are better without Edelman? First completetion of the season?

We don't have to hear about his drops.

Losing Gronk was big. They won a SB without him, although it took years of trying. This is bigger, IMO, because this is the chain mover. But, as long as TB12 is TB12, "this is big" means "this makes it ___% harder to win the SB", not "****, time to join the Jets in the tankapalooza".

I know one thing the pats haters will be celebrating tonight because we lost a tough clutch player.

Probably. Still holding out hope it's not an ACL.

I like the sunshine there though.
In all seriousness I know it's a loss, but I also know how many Pats fans thought Jules was a joke when Wes Left...lol!
We're you one of them?
What does this have to do with anything?

Remember TB is playing better than he was when he won with JAG WRs. The team is also featuring 4 running backs who can run and catch so it wont be so 1 dimensional like it was last year with LB. I bet Hogan takes a jump. DA feeling better than ever. A healthy Gronk?

Its sucks but it can be overcome

I still though hogan would have a big year. We need that wr in the slot to make the plays. People forgot how huge he was in the superbowl as well with some big time catches. I am talking about hogan.

No one can see the forest for the trees.
Look at all the receiving RB's we have...

Horrible loss.

Who knows how the season unfolds, and who knows the final impact, BUT we know what Edelman has done on the highest of stages, and that is something that cannot be replaced.

Wes Welker was phenomenal, but he did not make the catch when we needed him to. Edelman did it in both super bowls.

Patriots will adjust like the always do, but the path just got a little harder.

Amendola had a better game actually.

Yes but let's not forget the big time catch on 3rd down near the end zone when the pats wnere driving to tie the game. Also the overtime catch.

It has to do with how Bill will replace JE'S production.

This statement has nothing to do with the post I quoted in the context of how you posted it and certainly shared no relevance with DI's opinion of JE when he first came here.

You are all over the place.

Well this stinks, but BB will move on if the news is what they expect.

This will be an opportunity for Carr, we will see if he takes advantage of it.

This is the nature of the NFL.

Ok, but even without JE the Pats are well beyond the rest, IMO.
Hopefully so, but much remains to be proven: defensive front 7, the new RB corps (who will presumably be leaned on more heavily), Mitchell's knee, LT, etc. Are we even sold on Gilmore yet?

Nobody is forgetting anything. I have seen the game 20 times. My statement stands.

I AM SAYING...THE GIRLS WHO CRIED ABOUT WES LEAVING SAID HE COULD NEVER BE REPLACED BY LOWLY JULIAN EDELMAN...THE LOSS IS HUGE!
NOW IM SAYING THE LOSS OF JE IS THE SAME.
FOLLOW?

I'm going to be the dumb dumb to ask this:

The SB is 6.5 months away. Any chance he could play?

Would you ride with the wrs we have now or would you look elsewhere?

I'm sure they'll look, but the guy who might have been the best plan B was here in the offseason and retired.

They'll likely move the receivers up a line on the chart, and use Lewis and Burkhead as WR types more often. We could even see more 2 and even 3 RB sets. Hell, it might even be fun to see

Cooks/Hogan
Gronk
Lewis
Burkhead
White

out there on 3rd down, sometimes.
