Just heard this (per Adam Schefter -- need to find a link).

3 hits to the head the last one being emanuel sanders, Pittsburg (Branch was an earlier one in the year).

they play the chargers, so I wonder if he'll try to appeal so he can make that game, but he'd have Pittsburgh again after that. so, I don't think he'll try to appeal.

He would look... just fantastic... in a Pats uniform.

LaConfora and Rappaport have also reported it, and it was just on WEEI.

His hit on Branch was scary. Was there even a penalty on that play though?

Yes.

He did one on Edelman in the EZ earlier that game that went uncalled and stopped a TD.

Looked like Sanders lowered is head into Reed's at the last minute. This game's becoming painful to watch...

Adam Schefter ?@AdamSchefter
If @SportsTaxMan's math is correct - and it always is - Ed Reed's one-game suspension without pay will cost him $423,529.

wasn't that the case with Branch too?

I Thought Branch got hit by 2 players at once, Reed being one of them, can't quite remember...god I'm getting old.

$423K fine. OUCH!

That's why I hate the Ravens. Such dirty playing team.

Reed knew the one on Branch was a penalty, he knew he made a mistake. Haven't seen the other two. Reed is the player I like the most on that team though, ton of respect for him.

Huh, wow, suspended for a game. Well, that'll send the message better than just a fine, I'm sure.

Pretty harsh move by Roger Hitler.

I agree. I don't really care what happens to Reed, since he is on a different team, but how far behind can Brandon Spikes be if this is the direction things are going?

It's one thing for the refs seeing these plays real time and throwing a flag but to watch some of these plays in slow motion and drop a 20 or 30 thousand dollar fine when there was clearly no helmet-to-helmet or many other situations where the contact was misjudged in real time is just diadolical IMO.

It's a contact sport, most of the time they'd need to freeze in mid air to stop the collision....Geezus. They're killing good defensive football...:steamed:

If they suspend anyone it should bethat POS Pollard.
