Easley's injury won't have any long-term effects once he recovers, which is a good sign for next season. IR decision came after MRI.

Sadly I was expecting this ... his leg looked to be in a very unnatural position.
Too bad ... was so excited for him this year ...
Perhaps we will never get to see the best of Easley.
Not sure what happened but i was thinking dislocated kneecap.... my opinion only.

Damn. Good opportunity for Hicks to get more playing time - he made the most of his time against Houston. We'll also see more of Sheard, Nink and Chandler Jones on the field at the same time. This hurts but it's no disaster.

Wonder what it is? Keep in mind we're coming up on, what, 6-7 games left in the year if NE even makes it to the Super Bowl? Anything that reaches a 4-5 week recovery time probably goes to IR, especially considering the depth we have at DL

To be a season ending injury, Must be another knee injury, poor guy is cursed. He was really coming along, looked like the explosive college star was becoming and explosive pro star. Really sad situation. Loved the way he was playing.

I think we'll primarily see Geneo Grissom getting those snaps. Malcom Brown has also shown more athleticism than I expected, but is in desperate need of game reps; I double we'll see him directly taking Easley's snaps, but this might open up the rotation a bit to allow him to see the field more.

Damn, I could have sworn I saw him laughing and joking with Sheard on the sideline after Sheard's sack/fumble late in the game. Figured he was just being held out for precautions, but I guess it was someone else. Tough break, starting to worry that this is just who he is. Worth the gamble for the talent he has, but you've gotta be able to play more than two games in a row at some point.
