He may have, but I didn't see it.
He did, but that was more an indictment of the coaching and talent around him [or lack thereof] than of Maye himself.
Former NFL QB makes strong case to sit Drake Maye for 2024 season
Former NFL quarterback and ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky believes the New England Patriots should not start rookie quarterback Drake Maye. Maye had a solid game against the Washington Commanders in the preseason finale, going 13-of-20 passing for 126 yards and a…sports.yahoo.com
I just saw another video talking about Maye and how good he has, and one guy said he knows of several teams who had a SECOND round grade on Maye.
WHO IN THE EVER LIVING **** WOULD THINK THAT lol.
So much for "weakest schedule:"
Poles .. what a fkn clown.Ryan Poles for starters, as well as a bunch of posters in this forum who didn't want him.
Post again when we beat BUF and BALT. We are 2-1 against good teams and 7-1 against the worst teams the league has to offer.Weak schedule is irrelevant when you beat the good teams along with the bad.
The NFL is rife with bad teams, there's only like one division or so that have more than one good team in them.
Schedule is entirely overblown.
Based on strength of schedule our record might be impacted but then I heard based on defensive rankings we actually have played the hardest strength of defense this season. More evidence Maye is the real deal.Post again when we beat BUF and BALT. We are 2-1 against good teams and 7-1 against the worst teams the league has to offer.
We may be Super Bowl bound, but schedule does indeed matter.

We beat Buffalo, we also beat Tampa. Pretty sure it was you pre-Buffalo victory telling me the Patriots weren’t good enough to do so.Post again when we beat BUF and BALT. We are 2-1 against good teams and 7-1 against the worst teams the league has to offer.

Even people (like me) who thought Maye needed some extra development...nobody I heard of had an actual 2nd round grade on the guy. That gives me hope that some teams will be terrible forever.I just saw another video talking about Maye and how good he has, and one guy said he knows of several teams who had a SECOND round grade on Maye.
