Content Post Drake Maye has arrived . . .

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

The current version of that chart. Maye and Darnold have come back closer to the pack.

BTW, for comparison's sake, I've included Jayden Daniels, Brissett, and Maye from last year (stars).

Weak schedule is irrelevant when you beat the good teams along with the bad.

The NFL is rife with bad teams, there's only like one division or so that have more than one good team in them.

Schedule is entirely overblown.

I just saw another video talking about Maye and how good he has, and one guy said he knows of several teams who had a SECOND round grade on Maye.

WHO IN THE EVER LIVING **** WOULD THINK THAT lol.

He may have, but I didn't see it.

He did, but that was more an indictment of the coaching and talent around him [or lack thereof] than of Maye himself.

I didn't think he should have started last year either, but that was because the OL was horrendous.

Ryan Poles for starters, as well as a bunch of posters in this forum who didn't want him.

So much for "weakest schedule:"

This is also something that people don't consider - and it makes me just sit back and smile. If the biggest question of our season was the OL/QB/WR/RB/TE, we have had many, many tests that have stressed all of those positions, from some of the best units in the NFL. If we're passing those tests, it bodes well going into the post-season, where the offense will have to bail out the defense at one point or have to move the ball on a crucial drive against a stingy defense.

Our guys are tough, too. They get hit hard but keep going.

Post again when we beat BUF and BALT. We are 2-1 against good teams and 7-1 against the worst teams the league has to offer.

We may be Super Bowl bound, but schedule does indeed matter.

RAISE YOUR HAND
if you believe that we are likely to be 9-2 at this point in the season with our improved 2026 team.

Based on strength of schedule our record might be impacted but then I heard based on defensive rankings we actually have played the hardest strength of defense this season. More evidence Maye is the real deal.

Yeah, this is something I had started to notice around the Cleveland game. It seems every time we face one of these "loser" teams, there's some superlative about some part of their defense that Maye would have to overcome...and he has.

We beat Buffalo, we also beat Tampa. Pretty sure it was you pre-Buffalo victory telling me the Patriots weren’t good enough to do so.

You don’t learn your lesson the first time…. you need to be beaten over the head with it.

I placed a bet back in June the Pats would win the AFC Championship game and told everyone here that I did… I believed enough to put money on it.

Good draft class, great free agency, better coaching… I believed.

Even people (like me) who thought Maye needed some extra development...nobody I heard of had an actual 2nd round grade on the guy. That gives me hope that some teams will be terrible forever.
