Draft a power RB? Re-sign Blount? Get Foster?

It will be interesting to see who makes it between White and D. Brown. I doubt we keep both of them. Bolden is here to stay due to his ST play. He is a bad runner but a decent receiver funny enough. I have a strange feeling they resign Blount, he is reasonable $$ and Belichick likes him. Blount should be better this year if the o-line holds up. I would love to see Gaffney but who knows with him, health aside. Lewis needs to be stashed away until later in the year and playoffs, he still seems a tad fragile to me. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Ridley back, would be an upgrade over Blount.

Can anyone offer a comment or two regarding Blount's recovery?

Ridley looked terrible in the limited time I saw him last year. He would not be an upgrade over Blount. The opposite IMO.

Ridley is toast and he's never been special, I'll pass.

I'm curious about Moreno, if his knees are OK maybe its worth bring to camp at least.

Definitely don't want Ridley back, I think if we could sign Blount for cheap, he could be an option but either way, I would definitely draft a back in this draft, preferably a big one!!!!

yeah the way the off season signings are going or have gone (I think from now on Bill will make a few tweaks in the back end of the roster and that's it), our offense is improved from last year. Still needs to add some pieces but I think they can concentrate on the draft after signing 2 WR, 1 TE and bringing Cooper.

I thought the Patriots would double dip on RB again but since some of the draft experts here are saying this is a weak draft for RB's then I think it will be a late round pick and another cheap signing like Blount or another veteran, then whomever survive the camp cuts will be our backs. Even though I'm advocating for a "above jag" RB for years, I see no reason for BB to deviate from his philosophy.

I agree. Would love to get Henry with one of our #2 picks or maybe trade up for him. Unlike Blount, he would probably play hard trying to prove himself. I also like Marshall from Georgia, 6'0" 220 with blazing speed and good wiggle. Some great dekes on some of his runs, but also very strong and has good hands out of the backfield.

Call the Eagles and get SPROLES from that new coach by promising him fairy dust or a 3rd rd pick and we will have a mismatch at every position on the field!

Arian Foster. Period. Still good speed which I'm sure will still be there. A desire to make the doubters pay. Great out of the backfield. Put him and Lewis in the backfield? Yes please.

What about trying to trade for davonta freeman

I enjoy reading your posts and you seem like a great guy, but you have now taken over the title for "fantasy trade king" from DW Toys (another good guy, although one with some fantastical proposals).

There's no reason in the world to believe that a guy who led the league in RB touchdowns (11), caught 73 balls out of the backfield, AND ran for 1,000+ yards is going to be traded on a cheap, productive, rookie contract that has another full two years left on it.

To take it one step further, what would it take for ATL to even consider it? Definitely a first rounder, and likely a first rounder PLUS a player, and/or mid-low round draft pick. Devonte Freeman is one of the top up and coming young RBs in the entire league. There's little incentive for either Belichick or Atlanta to make this deal due to the specifics.

Freeman? Nah.

Trade for Todd Gurley. He's an easy get.

I wouldn't mind the signing one bit, but the word is that Foster won't be anything close to 100 percent until the summer at the very earliest. It makes his situation difficult to gauge in terms of financial value.

The fact that he played in 1/4 of their games last season but only averaged a YPC rate (2.6) the same as James White may be making suitors wary as well, and rightfully so. I'd still offer him a deal, but it would be one that I could easily walk away from in training camp if it isn't working out. Who knows if that would be "enough" to lure him here or not?

May as well just bring them both in. Keep them fresh, and have a powerful 1-2 punch come January.

Add in Josh Gordon on the outside, maybe lure Megatron back out of retirement, and this team may actually be competitive.

Sweet Baby Jesus!! That's outstanding! Gordon, Megatron, Gurley, Freeman ...and I'd throw a bone to Cincy for thst bum AJ Green as well.

Championship!

Yeah, we'd have to go with Green since Belichick is still worried about Julio Jones' hands like he was in the draft.

"Championship!!!" (spoken like in the commercial)

The one thing Blount does have is burst once he clears the pile. He's not a chain mover but I can't get this idea he lacks burst.
