Doss kind of blows IMO. If it were Sanders, then that would be a real ouch.

I agree i never thought Doss was one of their better players but if it was Sanders then that would have been a mega blow.

It's Dexter Reid time baby!

na Sanders is coming back soon and Bethea has been a great rookie i hear

Well you can add to that Reagor is going to have surgery to repair an orbital bone fracture (in addition to the 35 stitch gash in the back of his head). Can't imagine he'll be cleared for contact any time soon. Colts are getting a real taste of the injury bug on D this season, and they didn't have a huge margin in on that side of the ball to begin with.

They released Reid very early in the season. I think Reid's still a free agent so it's possible they'd bring him back because he knows their system, but my impression was he was mostly a special teams guy for them anyway.

Doss has been a bit of a waste, but he had been playing better this season, especailly with Sanders out. Hopefully Sanders will be back this week and can stay healthy.

He should probably sit out another 2 weeks to make sure he's really ready to return.

No, no, BeliFan.
Your better side knows we want to beat 'em at their best!

(Doesn't it?)

I was impressed with Reagor in the limited amount of game tape that I reviewed in slo-mo - specifically the last Colts/Pats playoff game. I have the impression that he is not regarded that highly by the Indy fans, which somewhat puzzles me although, as I say, I have such limited views of his play.

Any info or perspectives on Reagor, workhorse ?? I'd be interested.

Doss may not be much of a player, but nonetheless the injury bug is finally catching up with the Colts. I may be biased, but it seems the Colts have been very fortunate with injuries over the past few years, especially compared to the Pats. The depth chart of the Colts will finally be tested. My feeling is that it will finally be shown that the way the Colts spend their cap money as opposed to the way Pats spend their cap money is stupid. The Colts pay big money for starters and not so much for the bench, whereas the Pats money is more evenly distributed throughout. If the Colts have many more injuries (especially on defense) they could be fighting for the division title and their playoff lives with the jags.

I think that Reagor has been seen as a dependable, but not great piece to the Colts defensive line. The Colts run about 7 or 8 guys on their defensive rotation. Reagor has as been viewed as a piece of that, but not part of their first tier. With Trip leaving via FA and the Simon thing more was being asked out of him this season. He will be missed. Hopefully he is OK, it would be great if he can play again this season, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm really glad they went out and got Booger.

The Colts just filled Doss' roster spot by re-signing Dexter Reid.

That's an understatement. He was a perfect waste of a good draft pick. I'm turly sorry he's hurt. He might be replaced with someone who can actually play.

Wow!
Alamo put this info out 30 hours ago ...
and ESPN just ran a crawler saying the same near halftime of the Thursday night Clemson@VaTech game.

Not that he was a 3rd rounder, but look at the Colts history of 3rd rounder under Polian. Absolutely terrible. They just waived their 2004 3rd rounder yesterday. Dont think he played a snap.

Bingo! I'm not sure about the depth thing because we do not know these other players. But I do think the Colts have been fortunate in their injury situation over the last several years. Missing Simon and Reagor could be a problem.

Note to Dungy: "It is what it is. Everyone has injuries. We play with what we have."
