These things can go either way, but if I had to make an even bet, I would put money on:

1) Chandler Jones making a significant improvement year 1 to 2

2) Ninkovich improving since last year was his first ever as a DE

3) Tommy Kelly causing significantly more impact than either Love or Deaderick

If those three things happen, this line will be the strength of the defense alongside the LBs.

The biggest thing about the Kelly signing is the opposition OL now has a "pick your poison" type situation, who do you double team on any given play? If it's Wilfork would you trust the G & T to be able to contain Kelly & Jones?

If everyone plays to potential, teams might have to start leaving the TE in to block, weakening their receiving options - that would be optimal for the Pats because they tend to struggle covering the TE.

A beast front 4 can hide a lot of problems elsewhere on the defense, so let's hope the Pats front 4 come out firing.
