Dion Lewis weaving his route against the Raiders

Note that the first three moves were designed: the out; the pump fake/in cut; the throw/out/catch.

Not sure how many of the following moves were designed rather than improvised. Pobably one or two.

There's the design, and then there's the things you notice in practice. They run that play in practice, and if the linebacker is chasing hard to the outside, Lewis is ready to turn it back inside.

Thanks for the OP. That was my favorite play of the game to watch because of the way Lewis broke down the defense before and just after the catch and then changed gears and turned it upfield at high speed. Tremendous individual work and a joy to watch.

First i thought he wanted to throw that ball to Cooks because his motion after the pump fake looked so unnatural and kinda improvised. But after watching the breakdown of it he just did a great job and went to his obvious mismatch.

Yes, it was Brady's intention to go to Lewis as soon as he saw Corey line up across from Lewis. Corey doesn't bother disguising who he's covering, he just squares up and stares at Lewis all day long. Might as well take out an ad declaring coverage for that play. Little things like that make all the difference when they add up.
