Look at these stats and tell me with a straight face Parker didn't win 1:1 balls regularly.

Its' said some stats are overrated Parker will never be a Top 20 WR in Todays NFL. Sorry but I am not impressed with him and I love WR's.

Top 20? Of course not. He wins 50/50 balls and catches 66% of the pass thrown to him for a 17 yard ave.

You should be thankful he is a WR3.

This is the Forth year post GOAT QB its' time to get back to a competitive level against Good Teams BB can't Coach forever. Also we ain't playing the sisters of the poor this year very dauting schedule on paper. I don't want to sit through another mediocre season.
The days of taking the schedule and going "hmmmmm 14-3" are over. Larry Bird isn't walking thru that door. Robert Parish and Kevin McHale aren't walking thru that door, fans.

Chris Godwin, Super Bowl Champion and arguably the #1 WR on the Bucs (at worst #2), had 104 catches for 1024 yards last year. That yardage is good for 21st in the NFL. Since when has some arbitrary BS like, "He'll never be a top 20 WR" become an argument about the value of having a player on your team? Especially at a position where there are often 3 on the field at the same time. The top 96 WR in the league are basically starters. Parker was 72nd in yards last year, by the way.

Dude, this thread is about Devante Parker and all you have done is bash Mac Jones in it.

I have been on many message boards and have seen many posters like you and I haven’t seen one who wasn’t a poster people took as an absolute joke.
Hey let me clue you in.

If the QB throws a ball where the WR is the only player that can catch it and a player like Parker drops it. That is on the WR. If the QB throws up a 50 -50 ball and the WR does not come down with it, that is not on the WR. The QB could have placed the ball in an area that did not risk causing a turnover, but he didnt. The QB gambled because he does not possess the arm strength.

Your claims of Patricia telling Jones to throw up 50 - 50 balls and not to place the ball out of the DBs reach is comedy gold. Then, you people want to blame Parker when he doesnt win the jump ball contest. 2022 @ Miami the ball should have been placed in the back corner of the endone so Parker had a play on it and nobody else.

That's my Point a Top 20 or 21st WR is considered good to very good. A 72nd ranked WR in any thing is probably not good. Parker like Juju Needs a better player to make them effective Neither are It Players. I hope this ain't it for us because if so we are just marginally better a tad better than the Meyers lead Offense.

because he does not possess the arm strength.
Interesting word selection taking out every single other variable that can impact a throw/catch "transaction" between WR and QB to illustrate the inherent bias. So ball velocity is the only other thing that determines the outcome of a 50/50 ball?

He did mouth OFF to BB about Patricia's crap show on Offense and his under use. I am sure that played a role in the decision of the guy buying the groceries.

We have no idea what Bourne said to BB. We only know that Bourne, who had the most experience of any player or coach in the Shanahan Outside Zone system, was underused and misused by Patricia.

What I know is that when Bourne was on the field in 2021, he was a catalyst for the Pats offense. He made plays and so did other players. they had the vibe of "IT" and you knew that the offense would get into scoring position..

They call them 50-50 balls for a reason. They are high risk throws. Even the best QBs get intercepted more on those throws than other throws. But I just posted a video that includes a few passes of your boy Bailey Zappe throwing 50-50 balls to Parker where Parker had to make acrobatic leaps to catch the ball and avoid having them intercepted.

Your obsession with Jones borders on lunacy. If you want to talk about Jones, there are two other threads directly about him. Why not post stuff there and leave this for DeVante Parker.

Indeed. The Bourne Contention with Patricia won't square well with BB's assertion that he only wants to coach players he likes. Being forced into a position of having to ditch his favorite underling has to have left a bad taste in BB's mouth and colored his impression of Bourne.

Are you honestly saying that BOURNE was a major reason that Patricia was fired? Moreso than Patricia's incompetence on trying to implement Shanahan Outside Zone system which Bourne had extensive knowledge of?

The funny thing is touch and accuracy probably means more on a lot of 50-50 ball passes than velocity. Look at Peyton Manning the year he broke the passing record in Denver. He was throwing absolute ducks, but they landed right where they needed to be. Jones can throw those types of balls.

Predictably, both afternoon sports talk shows are trashing this signing. I cannot understand being upset with this deal. When everything is said and done and we see the numbers, this is likely to be a real value deal and probably won't keep him on the roster beyond next year.

Little reason to think that's the case. My god, the negative spin/overreactions on this thread are really something to behold.

His last 3 years aren't enough sample size for you?

Remember, you are discussing football with an immature imbecile.

Adam Jones is a punk, a shyteater and a face looking for multiple right crosses...throw in a good ****stomping of his pea sized nuts so he can no longer infect the gene pool.

That word does not appear in my post.
