In favor of picks?? Parker is not the kind of Receiver I like for Mac he's the least likely.Does his catch rate include interceptions because most of them are 50/50 balls.
Candidates aboundthat is certainly a theory that spomeone who is consistently negative would propose. Know anyone like that?
I've been reading the Jets board for years and they have fans just like you. Quite a few in fact and they have a explanation on why the Jets latest QB isnt the problem. In fact this board has morphed into a quasi NY Pats board.Serious question. Did Mac Jones sleep with your wife or something? The fact you have to twist every discussion into Mac Jones is the reason why the offense sucked last year and you feel people are just making excuses for him is just bizarre.
The post you responded to is comparing the playing styles of Parker and Hopkins. Nowhere did the poster claim Parker was the reason for the "lackluster" offense last year or that Hopkins is an instant fix.
And Parker stays healthy… something unrealized since 2019.Let's be clear, extending Parker is related to Hopkins only in the minds of posters. They are very different kinds of receivers.
Yes, we want Hopkins at the right price. However, we have even more 2023 cap money now. Our outside receivers are Parker and Thronton.
As of now, our slot receivers are Ju-Ju and Bourne.
We may or may not ger Hopkins or any other upgrade.
THIS DEAL was a good one for the team.
That was a super year for him with Ftizpick-6 seems so long again now I don't think we have that player. And Parker stays healthy… something unrealized since 2019.
This Team lacks a volume catcher a go to guy like Meyers...D-Hop would fit that bill.seems like they're extending themselves for a guy who averaged 2.5 catches a game. he's ok when he's healthy but this guy isn't someone any defense needs to gameplan for

Keep the faith. Hopefully you can meet your idol someday.
Hoping it's the latter our season is ridding on this impending decision.Bill moving on from Hop or pushing more money at him now?
I most certainly would.
Separation on a receiver who catches 65% of his passes will draw double coverage, something Parker does not, and more passes will be thrown that receiver's way.
Garbage. So it's all Parker's fault? I see. The INTs have nothing to do with the QB or the ****ty play call or that moronic "push the ball down the field regardless f it's the right thing to do", philosophy Fat Matt implementedADDED: The number of interceptions thrown on 50/50 balls. A high pct of mac's ints were to Parker.
They clearly figured something out early in the season. Four of his 14 targets in September were intercepted, then none of his 33 targets the remainder of the season.I most certainly would.

If more separation results in more targets sure.Who cares? He catches 66% of the balls thrown to him.
Would you rather have a WR who gets better separation and catches 65% of the balls thrown his way?
What a revelation! Who could have guessed that another fan board would have homers! I'll bet they even have vicious trolls like you.I've been reading the Jets board for years and they have fans just like you. I will add this OC-BOB is an upgrade any competent OC would be coming off last year. My question to you do you think this Team could compete with the Iron Teams with their current WRs Depth chart??So guys like D-Hop or Boldin- who never got great separation weren't a concern to defenses?
DCs don't care about WRs making 9 yards a catch and only 10 yards from the LoS.
Parker was 17ypc last year and averaged a TD every 10 catches. He is a down-the-field threat. Period.
Defenses care about playmakers who can hurt them- not receivers who get separation 5yards past the LoS

Sure as long as the targets lead to more points. If more separation results in more targets sure.
Catch % ignores “getting open %”
Compete? Yes.I will add this OC-BOB is an upgrade any competent OC would be coming off last year. My question to you do you think this Team could compete with the Iron Teams with their current WRs Depth chart??
