We need to try and get one of the DJ Moore or Chris Olave. Our Receivers Numbers are Poor: I'm sure Ryan Cowden knows that. I can't believe Bony Thornton is giving us the finger.
DJ Moore is a JAG and Chris Olave is a walking concussion.

If we were *contending* you'd have a point. We are not contending. You don't build your future around guys like that.

#FantasyFootball Bruh! Let's get ALL the Receivers!

The Patriots were 28th in passing yards in 2023 and LAST in 2024.

So I don't see how being on a bad team benefited Douglas.

If anything his stats are more impressive.

PS I'm not defending Douglas play this year. Just pointing out suggesting to cut him is absurd.
Because when you’re getting your **** kicked in by 20-30 points, defense will play soft and allow easier pass plays. Someone is going to get receiving yards.

Averages 600 yards a season with Mac Jones at QB, and then Bubba as OC & Brisset and a rookie at QB. Certainly nothing to sneer at. That's not bad at all.
Is it though? 600 yards as a primary option?
Who wants a 600 years receiver being the #1 target?

DJ Moore had over 1100 receiving yards 4 times, 87+ catches 4 times, 21 TD receptions in the last 3 years and 2 years ago put up 96/1364/8. That’s not a JAG.

The Patriots have had 3 receivers exceed 1364 receiving yards, Welker, Moss, Morgan and each did it just 1 time.

Moore had the 7th most catches and 7th most receiving yards in the NFL since 2019

Need in really having all wide receivers to step up their game. If you all are going to win games.

You can't be serious... he's been fumbling for years!

Get him out of here! No one is going to take him so cut him.
In 2023 he fumbled 1 time.
Before Sunday he lost 1 fumble in 191 touches.

When it’s a focus, it gets corrected.

You don’t cut your best RB, you coach him.

The Guys been a very good WR: and Patsfans say he's a jag. I know why they're familiar with the term though; it's because we've fielded a lot of them. I think we could get DJ for a Third but if some Team gets involved I would offer a Second. DJ have been a solid Receiver.

Douglas should be benched for that 4th down nonsense.
I think the minute Chism gets' in there; Pop is going to be a distant memory. Pop needs to watch videos of Slot Receives in action and hone his skills.

Douglas is not too bright it's obvious.

What kills me is that if he knew he was close then why would he go backwards.

To me that is equally as bad as the fumbles. Maye did come out and say that he wished he had emphasized the yardage needed in the huddle.

I can't say wether he thought he could get an extra 10-20 if he made that move and was getting greedy or if he just didn't think he'd get the 6 inches he needed without the step around but he obviously had a lapse in awareness.

I also think his first instinct is likely to try and make a juke rather than try to muscle through.

No, Douglas should absolutely NOT be benched and be inactive because of the one play.

He should be inactive because he adds nothing and hurts the team when he is on the field getting reps.
========
During the game, Josh and Maye shouldn't be considering Douglas as one of the receiving targets. There were 8 more active and one inactive that are more likely to produce when thrown to.
