Douglas and Chism are not completely interchangeable.

Douglas is a speed guy (4.44 40 on pro day) with mid quickness (4.28/7.05). Chism is a quickness guy (4.06/6.77) with not-so-great speed (4.71 40 on pro day) but more strength to defeat tackling.

I'm all for giving Chism a shot, but even I understand it's not a simple swap.

Chism's quicker, stronger, has better hands, and, I'm pretty sure smarter in a football sense. Who cares if he's chased down after 15-20 yds? At least he'll have caught and advanced the ball.

Agreed. I was really impressed with the defense as well. They played well enough to win.
