DeAndre Hopkins Back in the Mix?

Hard to believe they'd want to get rid of Hopkins to acquire Garoppollo. Isn't the idea to give Hopkins someone to throw to him?
Sort of... but would you rather have Tom Savage throwing to Hopkins or Jimmy G throwing to Braxton Miller/Will Fuller? They have other good receivers. Better to have very good QB play and good WRs than **** QB play and great WRs.

They need Butler also. I would wheel JG and MB for Hopkins and a pick.

Cooks is a speed guy, a younger DeSean Jackson, and maybe the 12th-15th best receiver in the league, but Hopkins is a legitimate, Larry Fitzgerald in his prime, #1A receiver. The only guys in the league I'd take over him are Julio, Brown, and maybe Evans. That's why I don't lend much credence to this, why would the Texans part with him?

Why does everyone seem to leave out Adriel Jeremiah Green?

SO Rams are looking to trade Johnson...if he goes to Houston..then that may squash the Butler/Hopkins. Or Saints...we will see where he lands

Would you trade Jimmy G to Houston for a 1st and Hopkins?

The Pats looking at WR tells me that they are ready to move on from DA yes even though he's been clutch in the Playoffs and on ST's DA regular season numbers are Paltry to say the least that won't cut it with his contract even on a restructure.

Because he's not as good as Hopkins. Too inconsistent, he'll disappear for games at a time. Also gets paid more and pushing 30.

In a heart beat at least we know what we are getting I would even go with Jimmy and their 2nd Rounder.

AJG is great but he is also 4 years older than DH with a lot more mileage and has had better QBs thowing to him and comes with a 15 million dollar cap hit.

If I was a GM and was offered Houston's first round pick and Hopkins for JG, I couldn't say yes fast enough. That's never happening though.

Probably the former, to be honest, because you're going to have to give up a haul for Garoppolo too. So it's a question of whether you'd rather have Hopkins, Savage and your 1st and 2nd round picks (or something analogous) or Garoppolo, Butler, and no picks. I'll admit the latter would be tempting, but I still think it's too much.

Hopkins is the type of WR who elevates QBs too, as evidenced by Hoyer. Sadly, it doesn't seem Brock Osweiler is capable of being elevated by anyone.

Depends on the price tag, yeah.

Hopkins straight up for jimmy only? I wouldn't do it. Maybe because i value the QB position alot more.

If I'm the Texans, and I know my offense is set up minus a quarterback and my defense is very good, I'm determined to outbid Denver for Romo. That's my move, and it doesn't require giving up my best offensive player. I don't think Bouye was anything special, so I wouldn't consider CB a top priority.

Houston with a healthy Romo might be even scarier than Denver with Romo.

Prime was laughing at your last sentence not even Mr Fantastic couldn't haul in Brock Osweiler inaccurate throws.

I still don't know why romo hasn't been traded. The cowboys won't get anything more than a 3rd rounder.

Cooks fits our offense better and hes the game breaker we dont have.
Hopkins is smooth sneaky fast great hand hes Malcom Mitchell 4 years from now.

I just looked up Hopkins and was surprised to see he's only 24. One month older than Mitchell.

im very weary of giving up big money or picks for a WR that hasnt proven they can learn our system

theres just too much history there of great WRs not being able to do this
