I think based on what I saw from the Bears OL on Sunday, if Bakhtiari had ANYTHING left, he'd already be in Chicago. There aren't enough good tackles in the league for there to be worthwhile ones on the street in week 11.

Knees are shot if I am not mistaken. If this was the start of the season, I could see him brought in as a so-called mentor. If he were brought in today to start, it would screw up the tiny bit of continuity we have. If they did this, they should get the ghost of Nate Solder instead...

Technically, this only means that he couldn’t pass a physical as of August 1. Practically, it’s almost always a sign that the player’s career is over. See Edelman and Develin, for example.
