As far as the Humphries deal for KC - they’re doing us a favor. It’s a 1 year deal (really a half year deal). If he looks good he will want to hit full free agency, and NE will easily be the highest bidder if they want to be. Even if he’s just average, and NE wants him as a RT, they can outbid others to bring him in. So let KC bring him in and show him off; if he’s good then NE can sign him next year knowing full well that he’s returned to form. If he’s not then you will have dodged a bullet.

I'm all for finding our LT in the draft. He's got to be there somewhere the options in FA are just underwhelming.

They need to find something. Who would of thought a second round pick, Compton, and Andruzzi would be the answer in 01?

Studs would be great but we also just need guys who are better than we have now and get the 5 working right together properly.

Absolutely agree. Lowe is a serviceable back up.. Wallace and Robinson can turn out to be good players as they go along. Feels like stranger projects to play C so now LG, LT are Absolutely must haves. Drake helps this current OL so much they need to be buying him steak dinner not him buying it for them.

Right now I’m guessing that if Lowe goes down they will put Jacobs at LT, Onwenu at RT, and Robinson or Sow at RG. I’d have preferred to get Humphries in to avoid that rotation.

I imagine he was adamant about staying at LT and not being in a rotation there with Lowe and Jacobs. If I were him and a playoff level team wanted me and seemed able to give me the snap count I wanted it would be a no brainer, all the more if it’s the Chiefs.

That’s all fine but they have been in a crap position all year at OT and remain so 11 games into the season where protection for Maye needs to be paramount. This is where you need the player personnel team to step up and I am greatly disappointed they continue to scour the bargain bin.

Humphries is a low end starter, always has been. Not sure what he solves.

Jacobs was benched and Sow played right tackle.

Pretty interesting to see Vederian Lowe ranked in very capably average territory. Not elite, but certainly good enough. Demontrey Jacobs is lower, but he’s also not their long-term guy - he’s just the “right now” answer that they can hopefully make into their swing tackle. Those stats look solid for a backup swing tackle.

All in all I’m happy with that chart. At least, happy enough to draft WR1 in the first and go into 2025 with Lowe at LT plus some prospects.
I’d feel a lot better about Lowe if we signed someone like Humphries, who has been very good in Arizona, to compete.

We have a roster compiled of back ups to back ups, 3rd string players on defense.. veterans with contract extensions who are underperforming. 3s and 4s masquerading as 1s at WR.

This was a pretty obvious outcome. Maximizing his contract in 2025 free agency requires putting good play on film, and the best chance of that is to play deeper into the postseason, further removed from his injury.

I've often wondered about the analytics.

I assume what we generally see and read is based off averages over time based on data of all 32.

But to use us an example for 20 years we were better than league averages until we weren't and now we're worse than way worse than League averages.

I assume every team has more specific data to their own averages but even that changes year to year and even game to game depending on a ton of factors.
From what I have read it seems like they have something to spit out all this data when needed. Whether it’s some stat nerd reciting the probability of the football rolling a certain way on the next onside kick when it’s a full moon or if it’s just a dude like Mr Adam’s coming up with interesting ****, very much piques my mind. I could assume they have a whole FLOOR dedicated to statistics on some teams. Probably just not this one lol. Same griping goes the same for the so called “fans” at our home games that do not know how to cheer/be loud. Please sell your tickets and become a fan of someone else’s. Your constant and nearly every game non cheering gets on my nerves and needs to stop.

People still cheer in your section?

Chiefs are the new Patriots. They just seem to collect talent and know how to use them.

As a side note...I have a hard time hating them, as much as I want to. Andy Reid is a hell of a coach... Mahomes is a little annoying as a human being but boy is he a competitor. Don't love Kelce, but whatever. The Taylor Swift stuff is insufferable... but I guess im just old. They are really fun to watch compete each year...

I remember yelling "WTF Jacobs....JFC Jacobs!"
"Fkn Lowe you dumbass"

Lotsa that kinda talk...the TV loves when I yell dirty **** at her......
