I would cut Wilfork to do it if necessary.

Fully agreed. But it might not even be necessary (depending on other moves). The big unknown is what is BB willing to pay? We should start a collection...

Cut Wilfork & Sopoaga, sign Revis & Cromartie use the draft to get a new DT or two.

I CAN FEEL IT....please make it happen

Get rid of Wilfork, Sopoaga, Wilson, sign Revis and as many pass rushers as possible.

Take a flyer on a cheap Browner too, he should be a Dennard upgrade when he comes back, not that I don't like Dennard.

No Cromartie. Dennard is better.

At least there seems to be somewhat less delusion in this thread that great players cost money.

BTW, 16M per is more AAV than Talib got in his deal. Both have injury concerns. Absent the guarantees, but Revis will get his money.

Revis pulled a hamstring once and tore his ACL and looked 100% recovered from it last season.

That's not remotely similar to a bad hip that has flared up 3+ years in a row and multiple suspensions for off field conduct.

I would agree with that stance as well, but add the caveat that it would be necessary. A cut of Wilfork, Sopoaga, and Adrian Wilson frees up that much more cap space. They can either go out and sign a pass rushing DE, a WR like James Jones, or a pass rushing 3-tech. We should know more about this in T-Minus two hours or so. I still don't see it happening but I've been surprised by moves the Pats have made before and have also been wrong about them.

Outside of tweaking his hamstring, missing 3 games in '10 and getting his knee blown out by another player and missing the rest of the reason in '12 he has played a full season every year.

Revis has no chronic injury problems like Talib has a chronic hip problem.

No Cromartie. Dennard is better.

Both are better than Arrington though, adding Cromartie improves the nickel defense which is essentially the Pats base now.

It looks like they could afford to sign Revis with cuts other than Wilfork, but not if they want to shore up several other areas as you note. If BB is willing to go $16, you don't wait till 4:00. You trade now. Otherwise, we can return to our doubts. Won't be long.

Less than 40 minutes until the 4 p.m. deadline that was reported for TB to release him before the 4th rounder becomes a 3rd.

Revis played through: Chest, Groin & shoulder injuries last season. As well as being knocked out cold in the lions game I believe.

Say no to Cromartie. Say yes to Browner on short money then enjoy watching him decapitate people after Week 4.

The suspence is killing me I am on the ledge crowd chants...jump...jump...jump.
