Position wise it makes sense. DT is in fine shape overall but NT in particular is lacking. LB depth is lacking. Both guys would be fine additions.

Yeah he can contribute - more so than a lot of the other shadow roster guys they'll consider over the next few weeks. It's always good to know who is out there for later in the season too if they remain unsigned.

These guys probably had veteran minimum offers earlier but have a little bit more leverage late in the preseason when the injury bugs hit.

Though Thompson was a veteran minimum salary guy last year and probably will be this year if he gets signed.

Both played for Buffallo last year interestingly enough so at least are familiar with the AFC East competition as well.

Both of these are good players to check on. I would be more interested in Shaq Thompson but both seem like good additions. This is the time of year where older vets who can still play but don't want to go through camp (and really don't need to) start to sign.

I don’t recall a DT missing time besides Barmore, but maybe they just saw a need for that big fatty NT from the Colt’s tape with him gone.
