Dallas and Indy are the 2 most popular teams in NFL. NE #6

Looks like most Indy fans are bandwagoners. Then again, so are many of our own, seeing as how fifteen years ago, out of 30 teams in the league at the time, Indy would've ranked 31st and ourselves 32nd in popularity, that's how awful our teams were. Most of the guys on this forum, as well as the Indy fans who come over, probably don't fall into that category, but it's a rather meteoric rise.

Like someone said, the only true national teams are Dallas and Pittsburgh. I might add San Francisco, but that's about it.

for some reason, the Pats have become one of those "love to root against" teams.

As a fan of that team others LOVE to root against, I find it supremely comforting knowing that no matter how hard they ROOT-ROOT-ROOT against us, they're gonna be disappointed 95% of the time!

IMO there are only two national franchises, Dallas and Pittsburgh. Everyone else fluctuates depending on year to year success.
I think you can add Green Bay as a national franchise, given where they are despite how tiny their city is.

As a general football fan, the thought of the Packers moving cities upsets me. I can't say that about any other franchise.
