I was thinking about this earlier. That Tom vs time episode has me wondering where his mind is on this. There is also a video on YouTube that is fairly convincing which postulated B.B. through the super bowl. As crazy as that sounds, the video is pretty believable. I myself do not believe that he threw the game but it’s just really odd

I don't believe he threw the game. However, I'll never understand what transpired with Super bowl LII either. It's unlikely any of us will ever know unless he writes a tell all book when he is done coaching. On another note, I rewatched the highlights from the AFC championship game and our defense was less than stellar that day too. Kind of felt like the 2011 defense that finally caught up with us in the Superbowl .

I agree that Tom may be done sooner than we may have thought. The NFL season is a grind and he has young kids. He's essentially not around half the year and he may want to be around more. Can't fault a guy for that .

Things are kind of going off the rails. What the hell happened behind the scenes this year?

I’ll get flamed for this, and I’ve said it before but once Tom retires, I’ll become a very casual fan...not just of the Pats but the NFL in general. The business of it, combined with the actual league office has made it hard to really invest emotionally anymore. Add to that the guilt over watching great players have all these health issue way to young. I also live in SEC country so college football has become more enjoyable for our family. It’s been a transcendent career we have watched for TB12...I’ll watch as long as he wants to do it.

once a fair weather fan, always a fair weather fan

it'll be a hoot watching Jimmy G rack it up with the niners after Brady retires after the 2018 season

I will probably always watch the Patriots/NFL....but I hear you. I have been obsessed about this team and have not missed a game (regular season or pre-season) since week 14 of the 1997 season and that was ONLY because a friend screwed up taping the game (on VHS). Not to mention following the team 24/7/365 through FA, draft, OTA's, mini-camps, training camp, pre-season, and in season. I have told my wife that once Brady hangs it up, I'll still follow the team...but I might miss 2-3 games a year (don't know if that is possible for me to do though)...or tape a few games and watch later..and will stop following the team 24/7/365 in the off-season. TBH, I don't think we will ever have another Boston athlete like Brady for the rest of our lives...FIVE Superbowls....FIVE! It's unprecedented.....

And personally, I am not worried about whether Brady's run ends after one more season or four more....it's all gravy now for me...yes, I'd love another Lombardi...but it's really gravy....

Wouldn't be surprised after the Amendola signing probably along with the loss of LT Solder that Brady says, I'm done. Best clutch receiver gone. Very good LT gone. Defense in need of much help. And with Belechek losing his mind in the Superbowl (MB).

So you showed up with parcells.....I go back to Mazur.....so you go pound sand
He suffered through a 2-14 season under **** MacPherson in 1992 - Parcells came in 1993.

Let's just agree to move on at this point before this devolves any further.
