Curran: Pats may add familiar receiver

If its Branch...Felger will literally be the biggest Pats homer on the Planet now.

Logic dictates if there going to bring a new WR in it would happen soon so they could get everything down for next sunday's game (damn I hate bye weeks), stay tuned....

Lee Evans would be sweet, but if Branch can stay healthy for 12+ games in a row, why not?

Psst...we're getting the band back together.

What is Irving Fryar up to these days?

Possible Downside I think "Twig" has been hurt quite a bit since hes been in seattle.

They say you should never go back, but I don't care; seeing Brady to Branch again would be awesome.

There is only one that fits the role:

Stanley "the steamer" Morgan!!!:rocker:

Stanley Morgan back in the house!?

Ian Rapoport just tweeted that the Branch thing is really preliminary, and not really likely at this stage.

Curran is speculating and he even said so himself, "likely" being the operative word.

I honestly think BB has had enough of bringing "old vets" into the fold because he's continually getting rid of them, from AD to Burgess to Moss. I think he would want to stay young for once and all.

RapSheet On a potential Deion Branch deal, I have been told it's not even close to "in the works." Just a discussion now...

Branch back to New England has been rumored since the beginning of the offseason. I don't know how realistic it is unless Seattle finally gets Vincent Jackson. Branch has been starting for them.

It is hard to really know how much Branch has left. The guy has been injured a lot and hasn't been consistently productive. But the Seahawks have been having QB issues for several years now with Hasselbeck breaking down and missing signficant time one year.

Word out is it's Doug Gabriel...WOW!

But if the Pats are talking to Seattle, even if it is preliminary, that means there is not a lot of confidence in Tate and Price on the outside (both are essentially rookies so that is not surprising - and not a comment on their long-term production).
