Curran Believes Jones is 'Making an Enemy' Out of Belichick

Funny. The 2 guys making news in the last wk for their poor social media contributions are 2 guys that haven’t lived up to a damn thing this year. Neither are leaders, and both haven’t performed to expectations. **** ‘em. Send them packing.

If we're sending people packing for poor leadership and not performing to expectations, where does that leave Mac Jones?

I get that Mac hasn't been making noise on social media while Bourne/Brown did, but he has been publicly showing his coaches up during games and not maintaining his composure.

I'm not arguing the Mac on-field behavior is entirely 1-to-1 with the Bourne/Brown liking posts critical of Mac on social media, but I don't think the distinction is necessarily that significant if we're talking about leadership qualities.

If true, the team is coming apart at the seams.
Lack of discipline on and off the field.
Your starting left tackle publicly dissing the QB and your WR publicly dissing the OC and head coach?
If Bill does nothing, it would be good evidence that he has given up on the season.

Herbert has a bad OC, bad head coach, and mediocre line and injured receivers

Tua last year had a head coach in Flores that disliked him, and OC that disliked him, a bad line, bad running game, etc.

None it those guys complained like Mac does

So what you're really saying is that you think it's more about BB and Patricia than Mac, but you certainly can't speak for Bourne. The reality is that Bourne liked the tweet quoted above. I guess people can reach whatever conclusion they want based on that.

My conclusion is that this is turning quickly into a dumpster fire and that the excitement with which I await every game, hoping for a miraculous turn around, is probably somewhat misguided

Mac is a whiner and not the qb of the future which is clear for everyone watching the games. Do you think the Coaches or scheme lead to mac only able to throw 5 yards to his right side before the ball hits the ground? He is so limited and needs perfect supporting cast and top 5 o line do be able to look slight above average

We've rehashed this one. Drew was a nearly 10-year veteran coming off a 5-11 season and had played poorly the first two games of the season and they were 0-2. Belichick, having also been a guy who knew how defend him before he became the coach, by then knew what he had and Drew, as much as I enjoyed him as a player, was who he was.

Mac was coming off a rookie season where he went 10-7, outperformed his rookie peers, and took the team to the playoffs. He was barely into his second season in a completely different offense when he got hurt. It's not - and still isn't - a fair comparison. If Mac went 5-12 last year and was still struggling three games into this year, maybe they would have stayed with Zappe. But that's not what happened.
Drew was the Guy. 1st round pick

The Pat's just paid him so that he was the QB for the foreseeable future. The Patriots could have let Bledsoe leave if they thought that he was too old with no future ahead, but, they didn't. Bledsoe was adored in NE. Bledsoe was in his 2nd season running a different offense. In 1999, Bledsoe was in Air Coryell. In 2000 - 2001 Bledsoe was in Ehrhardt Perkins.

BB had no way to pull the 1st round highest paid QB without sending shockwaves throughout NE and the NFL. Brady was the late pick. In 2001 the Pats were losing and Bob Kraft was receiving duffel bags of "Fire Weis" mail day in and day out. The internet was in its infant stages.

Mac is the Guy. 1st round pick.

Like you say, 2021 postseason QB and Probowler as a rookie. Beat Buffalo IN Buffalo.. Mac is worshipped in NE as the 2nd coming of next dynasty. Zappe is the late pick. BB cant replace Mac without causing a QB controversy and hurting feelings. 15 weeks in and the Pats arent winning on the brink of a losing season and no playoffs. The internet is ablaze with "Fire Patricia"

It seems like last season is of no help right now.

Funny how they were all pretty quiet when Dante, Josh and Carmen were here. I wonder what happened?

Truth be told Robert is engaged by his shiksa delish milf new wife.

Jonathan is probably leaving voicemails.
Truth be told,

You missed the comma.

Mac may or may not be a good NFL QB next year. This year has been a total cluster&$#*

The Patriots have no offensive scheme. It’s a joke.

Mac is no more of a whiner than Brady and no, I’m not comparing him to the Goat. Mac just knows more about offensive football than his inept offensive coordinator. How frustrating is that if you care about winning?

More players are calling out Jones.

This Pats team is dividing and the only thing that can save it is winning. These NE players know that this team is better than the inept product on gameday. Especially the offense. I believe that the NE receivers are sick of being open and not getting the ball. Trent Brown calls for a QB change next year.

The whole team must believe in the QB.

You need to compare his whining and attitude to other Young qb and not a 45 year old qv

Compare his whining to other young qb and you see burrow herbert tua hurts etc who have been in bad situations with crap weapons protection and coordinator and they did not cry like mac

Mac has not the attitude for a successful qb

Mac is the guy - until he's not. Just like Drew was the guy, until he wasn't. Mac has a longer leash due to the previous season and the offseason work he put in. Drew had a shorter leash due to his performance the previous year and how he played the first two weeks of the season. And obviously, enough evidence was provided by Bill to Kraft to convince him it was the right move when Brady kept the job.

What happened last year bought Mac the right to return to the line-up this year after his injury. But what happened this year and what happens over these final three games will essentially put him in a similar situation to Drew if he doesn't improve.

As it is, if he plays well, then he'll buy himself some additional benefit of the doubt. If he doesn't, it's likely going to set up a situation where he'll be battling for the job heading into camp.

But going over and over it isn't going to change the current situation. All we can do now is watch these final three games and that'll probably give us an idea of where things are headed.

I think it’s best to send Bourne packing after the season.

yea hes clearly not buying in and i dont care how bad a teammate is, you don't show dissent publicly towards them you keep that **** in the lockerroom

I think with Drew you knew what you had. He was at his ceiling and he was never going to be better than he was.

With Mac we didn’t and still don’t know his ceiling. I think we’re seeing his floor right now.

The two situations are really different.

I can’t see a Mac trade fetching much at all. Feels like this would be seen around the league as the Patriots and BB of all people giving up on a young QB. Doubtful a GM will want to give up much for a (failing?) starter that BB sent packing.

showing public dissent towards a teammate is a huge no no

that stuff belongs in the locker room

What free agents are going to sign up to come here to play with Mac?
They are looking over their contract like yeah I’m sure I can hit these escalators.
A lot of teams are a franchise QB away from being a threat.

We will be in a dog race again but I have a proposal and possible solution.

If the Will Levis falls to the Eagles spot.
We call our friends in Philly and offer our three firsts for that pick.
He is the closest thing we will find to Josh Allen arm talent in the next 5 seasons.
